Technology has impacted us all, whether socially, mentally or physically. We now depend on this technologic improvement to run our lives for us. But we are blinded by the positive things it brings us that we do not take notice of the hazardous or negative effects it also brings to our lives or the people around us. We must always be aware of the harmful effects of the overuse of electronics, technology pretty much runs our lives these days and has been for years without us taking notice.
In our homes, our work places we have computers, phones, and all these different kinds of gadgets helping us get through the day. Sometimes we are just so used to relying ourselves on technology all the time that we forget how it is to live in the real world

Being that the children are society’s most valued asset, there type of fun has dramatically changed from what it used to be, rather than hugging, playing, rough housing, and just having a simple conversation, parents are increasingly resorting to providing their children with more and more technology, to TV’s, video games and cell phones. They believe these advances is the only way to keep their child happy but it isn’t. The truth is that they have grown up in a society where everybody no matter how old you are uses a type of technologic development on a daily. Sadly today, 70% of children between the ages of 2-5 can operate a computer mouse; only 11% of them can tie their shoes, at the start of the technologic age only half of all school classrooms had internet access, compared to 98% today. Here are some statistics from LearnStuff.com. Students prefer tablets over textbooks which is 90% of students think tablets help them study more efficiently. 2/3 professors use a social media site in their class, 91% of college faculty engage in social media as part of work and 84% of schools used twitter to send up-to-date

Within the past two years computers have become a new way of doing business, enjoying various forms of entertainment, and interacting with others for the majority of our nation. Almost every aspect of technical work in industry today involves the computer in some way. It is hard to find something in the world at this present time that wasn’t either made by a computer program, or houses a computer of its own. Keeping this in mind while reading Ray Kurzweil’s article “The Virtual Thomas Edison” makes one realize just how much humans depend on computers, and Kurzweil’s hypothesizes that “Within three decades machines will be as intelligent as human beings”(Kurzweil, pars 16). Kurweil continues, by stating, “Bill Joy, co-founder of Sun Microsystems, has written about a wide range of dangers that could arise when we no longer have our metaphorical hands “on the plug”(Kurzweil, pars 2). It’s an unsettling thought, assuming Kurzweil’s prediction is correct, that computers may surpass man’s intelligence in 30 years and progress beyond our control. Kurweil’s quoting Bill Joy sums up the feeling of uneasiness towards the quick progress of computer technologies very well. It produces a slight tinge of fright as it is read because it could indeed be true.
Moreover, new technology advances are being produced every day, so people fantasise over them. Technological progress have driven the society unconditionally deranged. People always pursue the latest IPhone, tablet, or laptop, having possession of those items makes them feel “popular”, and
In a world governed by technology, it is almost impossible to live without it. Every day,
In the 80s, technology began its rise amongst society: the first cell phone was introduced to the market, personal computers were being sold, televisions were showing up in homes across the nation, and portable music devices were becoming popular. As time progressed, people have allowed technology to become more prevalent in their lives. Even though electronics have benefited our lives, they also have negative effects on us as well. Technology’s role in our daily life should be reduced because it causes a decline in our reading skills, causes excessive dependency, and weakens social relationships with others.
Technology is was made to make life easier and simpler ,but people take it for granted.
Modern technology has provided us with numerous time-saving devices such as automobiles, cellphones, vacuum cleaners and dishwashers. In North American the middle class and upper classes are larger than ever before, most of them taking for granted things that were once considered luxuries, such as colored televisions and air conditioning. People spend vast amounts of money on expensive things that at one point either did not exist or were well beyond our necessity. Americas past time has changed from baseball to an uncontrollable shopping driven culture. In recent decades the range of life choices available to people ...
Have you Realized you spend the rest of the day using technology , When you wake up until you go to sleep. Well Yes, The first thing you check is your cellphone or turn on the T.V and then your rest of the day Consistent of using any type of technology. I believe...

Technology has more negative effects on today’s society than positive. Due to technology in the past few decades Canine Shock Collars have been increasingly popular. Students in school pay more attention to texting than they do their classes. Violent addictive video games have made their way into American homes. Parents encourage their children to not text as much, but them to face the problem of constant communication. The Internet gives the students easier ways to cheat in school, and reinforces laziness. Internet Porn gives every bored male a chance to look at the seediest film in the comfort of his own home. Technology has taken the innocence and mystery away from the American family.
Looking around at daily life, I noticed a pattern of computer oriented devices that make life easier. While I do agree with faster production and less work, I can not allow this degenerative spiral of laziness to continue, it is out of control. These devices are in most daily activities ranging from waking up to an alarm clock to watching the news before going to bed. All of these computerized facets of our society help to increase our daily productivity and help us do whatever it is we need to accomplish in the day in the easiest way possible. The computer age is upon us and it will continue to grow in influence until society revolves around it daily, without any need for improvement. .
The new technological gadgets have the aim to make our lives easier and faster and
Nowadays people use technology from everything from business to education to entertainment and much more. Almost everything we do and every aspect of our lives is affected by modern technology. With all the advantages of technology it is not surprising that we rely on it for almost everything in our daily lives, but how much is too much? People’s over-use computers and other modern technology is causing vital skills to be lost as technology replaces traditional ways of doing things. We are losing communication skills, memorization skills, and ……..?????????. And with the loss of these skills, what happens when technology fails?
Technology is one of life’s most impressive and incredible phenomena’s. The main reason being the shockingly high degree to which our society uses technology in our everyday lives. It occupies every single realm, affecting people both positively and negatively. There are so many different forms of technology but the two most often used are cell phones, and the internet/computers in general. Today’s younger generation was raised alongside technological development. Kids now a days learn how to operate computers and cell phones at a very early age, whether it be through their own technological possessions, a friend’s, or their parents. They grow up knowing how easily accessible technology is, and the endless amount of ways in which it can be used. This paper will be largely focused on the effects of technology on the younger generation because your childhood is when these effects have the largest impact. I am very aware of the subject because I am the younger generation. Aside from major effects on study and communication skills, there also exist the media’s effects on teen’s self-esteem and mental health. Maybe more importantly, there is our world’s growing problem of over priced and unnecessary consumerism. Over time, our society has created a very unhealthy form of reliance and dependency on technology as a whole. People essentially live through their devices. Cell phones are always with people making it nearly impossible to not be able to reach someone at anytime, day or night. In 2011, there were 2.4 trillion text messages sent, and 28,641 cell phone towers were added across the US. 1 We use our phones and Internet for directions, communication, information, self-diagnosis, games, movies, music, schoolwork, work, photos, shoppi...
Today there are many technological advancement to enhance our daily activities, whether it be as simple as an Ipod for entertainment purposes or as vital as an artificial heart for the survival of a human live, science and technology is the reason for its existence.
