I wanted to know every detail about everything there was to know. I... ... middle of paper ... ...o that. As I continue on my journey of becoming an educator, I feel that I will find a balance of the different philosophies that not only works for me, but also allows my students to flourish. After examining various philosophies of education, different roles of all individuals in the education process and deeply reflecting on my personal reasons for wanting to become an educator, I have seen the type of teacher I hope to one day become. Through hard work, extensive planning and time, I know that I can become an educator that not only meets the standards expected of them by others, but that can live up to my own personal expectations.
It is so important for me to find the way my students learn best and utilize their learning style in my classroom. I also always show my students how great their potential is and constantly motivate them to always do their best. I am unique from other teachers because I am
An effective teacher not only succeeds at helping all students learn, but increases learning for all students as well. Effective teachers possess three main characteristics or qualities. First, an effective teacher will know how to motivate his/her students. Second, an effective teacher will carefully plan a lesson, implement that lesson plan, and test students’ knowledge on that lesson by using essential teaching skills. Third, an effective teacher will use a variety of strategies in hopes of fulfilling all students learning needs.
I want to have a classroom in which students feel personally altered by their experience in my classroom. Progressivism is one major philosophical approach that I plan to use in my classroom, along with an assertive discipline approach. In my classroom I want students to accomplish new material, learn to overcome the subjects they struggle with and develop confidence in what they do. I hope to help students acquire more of themselves in their education and strengthen their qualities. I not only want them to succeed in subjects but also grow as individuals.
As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills.
The numerous situations involving behavior and management difficulties that I witnessed challenged me, but also provided me with the knowledge to improve these situations in a classroom My journey in education has shaped me as an individual and an educator. I am thankful for every experience and opportunity I have been through. The knowledge that I have gained about the profession will stay with me when I become an educator. I have a deep understanding of what it takes to be a teacher, and know that through my experiences, I am ready and excited for what this profession has to offer me and what I have to offer the profession.
After this experience I know that this is what I was born to do; this is my true calling and passion in life. I hope that my teaching will inspire my students to achieve greatness and pursue their passions. I now see what a huge responsibility teaching students truly is, they are our future, as cliché as that might sound, and they are the leaders of tomorrow. With that responsibility will come great sacrifice, dedication and determination all of which I will gladly give to ensure my students have the most influential mind opening education. This experience has given me such good insight and I am truly excited to finish up my degrees and embark on my teaching career.
Policies and legislation have set the standard for an inclusive education system that values all students, regardless of difference. As a preservice teacher about to enter into the teaching profession it will be my responsibility to cultivate optimum teaching and learning experiences that will support all students’ social, emotional and academic development. Whilst this task does seem daunting and challenging, it is also exciting to be one of the many pioneers who will contribute to an educational reform, resulting in the ideal of inclusive education. Within my classroom there may be learners who are: visually impaired, hearing impaired, physically disabled, ADHD, ASD, bereaved, affected by trauma, or gifted and talented, only to name a few considerations. How will it be possible for me to provide access to learning that will enhance social, emotional and academic development for every student within my classroom?
Generally an incorporation of the practices of teaching respect and caring, and providing a stable and stimulating classroom environment in the school will promote students’ learning. An effective teacher employs these practices jointly, is well-informed of the curriculum content, and is committed to their students learning. The role of teachers is a very fundamental and powerful position because we have a lasting impact on our students. Therefore, it is most imperative to always make judgments grounded upon what is best for my students.
Implementing these changes will require exemplary leadership and participation from all stakeholders, along with consistent and frequent assessments and evaluation of our progress. Once implemented, evaluated, and potentially improved upon, these changes will help our students and teachers to grow in a way that will contribute to sustaining our vision over time. It is understood that the beliefs and values shared within the Woodside community are rooted in high academic achievement as well as the social and character development of our children. Woodside Avenue School is already a strong representation of what we value, however our ideal future would be one where our children grow academically and as people.
