“I’m intimidated by the fear of being average,”(Wang) Taylor Swift said on October 24 to the press. This quote shows how driven she lives her life. Born on December 13, she grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania . Her career began there at age five, when she first started to write songs.(Grimm) At thirteen, she decided to sign with RCA Records. Swift does not last long in that contract because she did not like the thought of other people singing her songs.(Wang) Then later she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, at age 14 to fulfill her singing career. Big Machine Records is the next recording company on her list to try. She must have liked it because she is still with them today. I believe that if anyone is going to be put into the Country Hall of Fame, it should be Taylor Swift. Not only because of her many achievements and her impact to society, but her generous donations and charitable contributions are what is going to get her inducted into the Hall of Fame as well.
For starters Taylor Swift should be in the hall of fame because of the numerous awards and achievements she has received. She started writing the song “Tim McGraw,” in math class of her freshman year. This song soon reaches number six on the Hot Country Songs chart.(Wang) Swift won the Horizon Award at the Country Music Association Awards with a reply of "This is definitely the highlight of my senior year!"(Wang) This shows how young she was when she first started her career. In 2008, Swift’s career starts to grow rapidly. I believe Swift should be a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame not only because of her many awards she has acquired throughout her lifetime, but also her impact on people and her numerous charitable contributions.

I have listened to country music since I was a little, as did my husband. For him, it's a reminder of a simpler time, helping his father farm, plowing fields into the night. For me, it's a reminiscence of sunning myself in my backyard over summer vacation. The twangy sounds of the guitars and the fiddles always seemed to make me feel at home. For me, country music is a way of life, therefore the reasons I will use in an attempt to persuade you that country music is better than other music include its deep history in America, the quality and content of the music and its relatability.
Taylor Swift’s debut album contained such songs as Our Song, Teardrops on my Guitar, and Picture to Burn. Swift’s approach is perhaps more country than the Dixie Chicks in a few regards. The banjo is featured throughout the record and more traditional country percussion, as well as more country-style lyrics. However, she stands out with a crystal-clear voice and excellent use of metaphor throughout her songwriting. In terms of musicality, Swift may not be the most gifted, aside from her voice. Finally, came Y2K and fresh folks to sing the country style and connect with the people who love the genre so dearly. From George Strait to Garth Brooks to Tim McGraw, these names have come up on more than just the country charts but also the pop charts. Also, they drew in a substantial amount of wealth. They have changed more than their genre but also the entire music industry.
Headlined by country artists Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Kenny Chesney located at the MGM Resorts Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, was the 4th annual ACM Party for a Cause music festival. The festival leads up to one of the country’s largest music award shows, The Academy of Country Music Awards. My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to experience this wonderful event. Being such an eye opening experience sometimes people don’t realize how many human beings actually need help in this world. I’m thankful this is one of many charity events offered to help those in need.
Country music is one of the most diverse changing genres in music that we have today. Some songs can take you on a beautiful story with a happy ending and some can make you feel heart broken and down in the dumps. Both can be great songs, and deliver powerful messages, but can be done in very different ways. Today, the country music that I know and love can either be a good ole laid back mellow song with nothing but an acoustic guitar, or have an entire band rocking out the whole song like songs that are very commonly associated with an artist like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryant, and Brad Paisley. So if country music is such a flexible genre, how it become like this. Back when country music started, it was only done one way for many years and then everything changed. How did an artist like Taylor Swift get associated into country music when critics and avid listeners say that she could just as easily be in the pop singer genre? There is a very big difference in the style of music that a Jason Aldean would play and the style of country that Taylor Swift sings so how did these two very different artists become associated within the same genre?

Ask me who my favorite musical artist is, and I would say “Tori Kelly” in a heartbeat. Her music and her amazing personality are an inspiration in my life. I feel as though in today’s society, artists can portray the wrong ideas to people my age. But, Kelly is always true to herself and the lyrics in her songs speak my mind. I think that speaking truthfully and inspiring her fans, is her goal in music. Tori Kelly is a respectable artist because she shows young women about having confidence in themselves. Her powerful sound and pure lyrics explain to the audience that it is okay for them to be themselves. Kelly talks about her struggles with boys, independence, and strength, and her music is a great piece of empowerment for all young women.
Swift if he could say “I made that bitch famous.” Kanye is not just a insane personality he is a man who has many layers to him that can reveal the bigger picture to his psyche.
Christina Grimmie is an inspirational singer, whose emotions and personality is showed artistically through her powerful voice. She should be inducted into the New Jersey Hall Of Fame because she was born and raised in New Jersey, she is a great artist, and she has reached many achievements, despite only living to be 22.

Ever since I was in eighth grade, I have been obsessed with Taylor Swift. She has been my role model since I was thirteen. When you look at most singers today, they have to be singing about drugs or alcohol, using vulgar language, or performing half-dressed. You never see Taylor Swift doing anything that she would be ashamed of later in life. On the other hand, she has had many relationships that have lasted short time periods. At least, she is not getting married for 72 days or even 24 hours such Kim Kardashian or Britney Spears. This is why I chose to write a research paper on her.
