Tanzania Zanzibar is a photograph taken by Abbas in 2007. It was shot in the country of Tanzania on the beach along the Indian Ocean. In its entirety, Tanzania Zanzibar displays a gorgeous natural background and native group activity, expertly presents a contrast between light, cheerful colors and darker shades, and conveys a sense of joy in simplicity in even the most difficult of circumstances.

Tanzania Zanzabar depicts a group of young men participating in a recreational activity on the beach among the beauty of their country. The sunset, located in the upper center, thrusts shades of yellow and pink throughout the open sky. Furthermore, a thin sliver of gold bounces across the ocean, revealing a stark contrast between the brilliance of the sunlight and the deep blue of the surrounding ocean. Indicating the change in scenery from top to bottom, the rolling tides contain both dark shades and vibrant colors. The waves closest to the viewer are of a dark blue hue, while the troughs between the crests show a lighter hue and the ocean behind the tide even lighter. Additionally, a strip of wet sand appears peeking out from under the shifting waters, reflecting the vibrancy of the sun and sky in a striking manner. As one moves his or her eyes from the natural scene and onto the hustle and bustle of the shore, he or she will notice that the beach and its inhabitants are almost shadows in their appearance. Indeed, the group of men appear black as night in the presence of the fiery sun. The rough patterns in the sand mix the light and dark hues that are so brilliantly exemplified by the men and the surrounding nature. Overall, the contrast between vibrancy and darkness forces every individual component of the photograph to be recognized.
