In today word we have a constant connection with internet; for example, we pay bills, we file taxes, we get appointments, etc. Those common things made our life easy; however, sometimes internet goes out of control and becomes an addiction.
Internet addiction has the same principle of a drug addiction because both of them online release dopamine into the brain's pleasure centers, resulting in obsessive pleasure-seeking behavior. Moreover, high levels of dopamine lead to high levels of motor activity and impetuous behavior and low levels of dopamine lead slowed reactions.
Addiction changes the brain, first by destabilizing the way it registers pleasure and then by changing other normal drives ;as a result, people with an addiction do not have control over what they are doing and their addiction may reach a point at which it is harmful. Dopamine is a reward chemical in the brain which rewards us every time we do something positive. Addiction comes from that chemical and can be created from various activities. Someone might enjoy jumping off a cliff, eating food, taking drugs or even play video games. Every time your brain enjoys something, dopamine is release and you start feeling good. The reason drug addiction is more complex, your brain will create more dopamine the more drugs you take. Eventually, your body will fight off the foreign product and dopamine will be created in too high dosage. Your body will become addicted to the dopamine, not the drug as previously thought by doctors.

Internet addiction should be reported in the Diagnostic and statistic manual of mental disorder (DSM). It is a huge problem, he also says that internet is like narcotic drugs and very addicting. He states that if ones use Google for few minutes only it leads us to spend more than a few minutes on the internet and it turns in to spending hours. Beato refers that University of Maryland did a group study for 24 hour and all the students went crazy without their phones and iPods, one girl admitted that she is an addict. The students were anxious and miserable. He also says that one kid killed his parents because they took away his Xbox.
