Early in my tenure at Taco Bell, I demonstrated leadership qualities, which opened the door to a Team leader position. However, I just became a Team member at Taco Bell because they needed me to be full time, but with college I knew school came first. Although, Taco Bell’s complex franchise structure that included a diverse workforce, it refined valuable communication, time management and stress control skills with customers. This position made me work well in teams because that’s how we got challenges accomplish, but I had to be a leader for my team to stand out and work two times harder than the average worker when things got rough. Now, I’d like to pull together all of my experience with information technology, security, and programming. Furthermore, with this knowledge I continue to go to NVCC on the weekends at the All Cyber club to give back to the community and be that role model to others. Because NOVA is where I started off to believe I have necessary duty to perform in this world and as I got comfortable there, I acquired my CompTIA Security + certification by taking a class in the Fall 2017 semester. Moreover, I have completed 70 credits consecutively with a 3.9 GPA. I have now been on the Dean’s list and Presidential Scholars’ list for almost every semester I went to NOVA. I have also been now a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) for a year and have seen many leaders from different work areas in the community to network with others to become role models wherever whenever. I was one of six students at NOVA to be part of the Blue team one for the Cyber Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) and selected by my professor (William McLaughlin) to participate. We dealt with many intrusion threats, but we kept calm working with the Microsoft Sever 2012 R2 OS to defend it with firewall rules, monitoring tools, and Microsoft management console.
