Description of task
The Alameida Video club had some problems and difficulties with their
current system. The programmer of the system left to Belgium and they
were in need of help. This business needs to be up and running again
in 3 days because of the amount of money loss due to being a main
Video shop in Gibraltar. The services which they provide are PC, Game
Cube, PS2 and Xbox games as well as DVD's and Video rentals.
I have been observing people whilst they use their existing system and
I have seen that they have encountered problems.
Their existing system is currently having problems and people working
on it have not been able to fix it. Here is a list of the problems and
failures which the system and users have encountered;
- Common freezes and crashes
- Very slow in producing results
- Database confusion with accounts
- Security user problems
- Un organised Design
The current system is done by using a dos based program with a black
background. You have to insert too many commands, which can be done
easily by using a database. When a customer wants to rent out an item,
the person using the system has to write down some information of the
items number and membership number in some piece of paper because the

...began to chase him. While trying to escape, Ramirez attempted to steal a car but was unaware that the owner was under the car trying to fix it. When Ramirez started the car the owner came out from underneath it and began to chase him. The mob was still in pursuit now armed with steal rods. They eventually caught up to him and several people beat him until the police got there. He was arrested and taken into custody. It was because of endless appeals that his trial lasted for 4 years. At the end of everything he was found guilty on 43 counts in the Los Angeles county that included 13 murders, burglary, sodomy, and, rape. He was sentenced to the death penalty in the gas chamber. He is still on death row and will continue to be until he is out of appeals. He is quoted as saying "You maggots make me sick. I will be avenged Lucifer dwells within all of us!".
Carlos Deluna was born on March 15th 1962. Carlos DeLuna, who was arrested for murder, was developmentally disabled and had a low IQ. He dropped out of junior high and took a series of manual jobs. He had a history of petty nonviolent crime, including robbery and car theft. DeLuna also developed a taste for huffing spray paint. He was arrested multiple times holding a can of spray paint with his hands and mouth “smeared with the stuff.” DeLuna was convicted of murder and sentenced to death by the state of Texas. On the night of February 4th,1983 a 24 year old gas station attendant named Wanda Lopez was murdered.Reporters said the young woman had been stabbed multiple time with a buckle knife. At his 1983 trial, Carlos DeLuna told the jury that on the day of the murder he had ran into Hernandez, who he'd known for the previous five years. The two men, who both lived in the southern Texas town of Corpus Christi, stopped off at a bar. Hernandez went over to a gas station, the Shamrock, to buy something, and when he didn't return DeLuna went over to see what was going on.Mrs.Lopez was killed while on the phone with the police, having just called 911 reporting a suspicious person. Police found DeLuna hiding in a truck a few blocks away. DeLuna told the jury that he saw Hernandez inside the Shamrock wrestling with a woman behind the counter. DeLuna said he was afraid and started to run. He had his own police record for sexual assault. "I just kept running because I was scared, you know." When he heard the sirens of police cars screeching towards the gas station he panicked and hid under a pickup truck where, 40 minutes after the killing, he was arrested.(Pilkington) DeLuna always maintained that he didn't do it, but waited until his tr...
Juan Corona was an organized serial killer most commonly know as the, “The Machete Murderer.” Corona was convicted of 25 counts of first-degree murder in 1973 ((Vronsky, 2004). Corona was born in Mexico however, he migrated to the United States in 1950 to follow his brothers footsteps (Cray,1973). He was the 3rd of three children. All brothers worked in the farms and eventually Corona would get certified to be a contractor in order to hire people for fruit picking (Frank, 2013). Once in the States there was a storm that caused a flood, this event caused “strange” effects to Corona, according to his brother, Natividad. In 1956 Natividad, filed a petition to have Corona committed in a mental
The arrest of Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman was a victorious circumstance for the Mexican government, who have been closing down on his presence for the recent past years. Mexican authorities began taking down high ranked members of the Sinaloa Cartel including two of Guzman’s main associates. On February 22, 2014, the world’s most wanted man had also been captured. Although the biggest drug lord has been captured, the crime and violence left behind cannot be forgotten.
Carlos Deluna was an American man who was convicted of first degree murder. Carlos was executed by the state of Texas for the killing of a 24 year old woman at the Shamrock gas station. The victim Wanda Lopez was stabbed multiple times apparently from a buck knife. Wanda Lopez was the attendant of the gas station and the police was senseless and oblivious to the tape at the gas station and only saw when she was giving the murderer the money yelling “You want it? I’ll give it to you. I’m not going to do nothing to you. Please!!!” There were only four eyewitnesses that was nearby when Wanda Lopez was murdered.
Pablo Escobar is remembered around the world as a criminal, a drug lord, and a gang leader. Escobar is believed to be responsible for the deaths of over 4,000 police officers, soldiers, lawyers, and politicians. Still to this day, almost every person in Colombia knows someone whose life has been affected by the actions of Pablo Escobar. He is recognized not only for his notorious crimes, but also for his generous support to the poor and his donations to many underprivileged communities. Despite his death over twenty years ago in 1993, the actions and decisions Escobar made while he was alive still have major influences on the world today.
Not parents, not teachers, but music changed the decade of the 1950s. Welcome to the decade, where rock ‘n’ roll music emerged. Rock ‘n’ roll changed the world, but it wasn’t just the music. The music created a movement. People were not afraid to be different. The Birth of Rock ‘n’ roll, created a major impact on many cultures and society. When I think of Rock ‘n’ roll music, I think of the music, as a stepping stone for Americans. I think of Rock ‘n roll music as a stepping stone for Americans because the music reflects on the change of America after the war. Everybody was afraid to break out and be different. Rock and roll music made it cool to be different. During the 1950s no other genre of music was accepted or despised as much a rock ‘n’ roll. The popularity of rock music can also be traced to the controversy that the music stirred up. When rock ‘n’ roll music hit the white suburbia area and became popular to the youth, the following decades talk trash about rock ‘n’ roll music. Despite the people talking trash about rock music, the music did help break down racial barriers. Rock music was universal. The music allowed different races to join together on the dance floor. As we take a journey through the 1950s, we will be able to understand the roots of Rock ‘n’ roll, famous idols, fashion sense the music created, and why rock ‘n roll has stirred up so much controversy during the fifties.
Wilmot & Hocker discusses various ways to assess conflict particularly when we choose to intervene in other people’s conflicts. They discuss the system theory as one of the beneficial theories that can help us intervene when we have a conflict. A system theory is a full assessment of how the overall system works and finding communication patterns within the systems (Wilmot & Hocker, 2011). Understanding the nature of organizations can be important to a person who is trying to find out a more organized way to handle and intervene conflicts. Sometimes conflicts get to the point where you get so frustrated that it can become confusing or you can not see the interpersonal dynamics that occur. In our last unit, we learned that emotions could have

In February of 2010, Martinez-Nunez, was arrested by border patrol, while trying to illegally re-enter the country via Texas. Upon his arrest, border patrol was advised that he was a suspect in the above murder case. Before being sent back to Ohio, Martinez-Nunez was questioned via phone by Reynoldsburg police. The questioning was done with the help of a Spanish interpreter. Martinez-Nunez’s statement led to a nine count
1.0 IntroductionIn this report I will be concentrating on the failure of software systems. To understand why software systems fail we need to understand what are software systems. Software systems are a type of information system. This is because a software system is basically a means for hardware to process information. Flynn’s definition of an information system is:"An information system provides procedures to record and make available information, concerning part of an organization, to assist organization-related activities."Humans have been processing information manually for thousands of years, but with the vast increase of demand for knowledge this century has meant that a new method of information processing has been needed. Software systems have provided a new means that is much faster and efficient.
Systems approach is based on the fundamental principle that all aspects of a human problem should be treated together in a rational manner (Healy, 2005). I have divided this essay into relevant sections that cover an overview of systems ideas, general systems theory and ecological systems theory. This assignment will also include Germain and Gittermans life model, and it will be related back to the case study that has been provided. Limitations of systems theory will also be discussed.
Laszlo and Krippner (1998) describe a system as “a complex of interacting components together with the relationships among them that permit the identification of a boundary-maintaining entity or process. (p. 2) Systems Theory is based on studying how individual parts of a system interact with each other to produce certain behaviors. System theory can be classified as identifying patterns and behaviors. The roots of system thinking have been in existence since the early 20th Century and have since been formally identified as such. The process of systems thinking is being able to pay attention to the whole while focusing on the complex interrelationships that make up a system to encourage the development
According to Mark S. Homan community development links people with one another and with different types of wealth in the community to change conditions leading to improvement in the quality of life. In addition to networking to bring about change, there must be the usage of theories to guide the worker in order for them to be successful in bringing about change. We were guided by one theory and two models respectively: systems theory and social planning and partnership models.
