Synthetic drugs are common across China, affecting the country in many ways Drugs were created for medicinal uses to help treat injuries or illnesses, however there are drugs that are exploited due to the body’s reaction towards the drug such as narcotics. A simple definition of synthetic refers to “ Man-made”(Van).The primary purpose of synthetic drugs are for medicinal uses. Meaning that it is for the use to aid people to recover from illnesses or injuries. Since synthetic drugs are man made the ingredients used in the process are artificial or may contain natural ingredients. For example, Aspirin, which is a synthetic drug, is used to help with headaches and muscle aches.Synthetic drugs’ influences are spreading across China like a wildfire affecting the lives of citizens economically, politically, and socially.
