Dunkin’ Donuts is one of the leading coffee houses not only in the United States but globally as well. However, Dunkin Dounts has a powerful competitor, Star Bucks. Dunkin’ Donuts has many strengths that keep their customers coming back for more. One of those factors is their price point of their products. Customers ultimately pay a very low price for their coffee and breakfast sandwich. Convenience is another big factor that helps Dunkin’ Donuts have returning customers. The drive through is a major positive aspect to their company because when people are on the go they cannot be bothered to get out of their car to go inside. Ultimately Dunkin Donuts is consistent with their brand image. If Dunkin’ Donuts were to reposition themselves their overall sales would go down because thats not what their customers want. Weaknesses in a business can be detrimental to a business. Unfortunately the employees at Dunkin’ Donuts are not all that friendly, making a customers experience not that personable. Becoming more personal with customers creates customer relationships that can be highly beneficial to Dunkin’ Donuts sales. Not to many people tend to hangout inside a Dunkin’ Donuts as they would a Starbucks because it’s not the cleanest place to sit and relax. Cleanliness is a huge attraction to the eye of the customer, so if their atmosphere is perceived as dirty and unsanitary they start to lose their business.
