Writing Assignment #3: SWOT Analysis
Cloud computing is defined by experts as a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources rather than having local servers or personal devices to handle applications. The meaning behind the word cloud is that it is a metaphor for the entire online web and its data as well. A cloud service differs from traditional hosting in three different ways. These three differences are that cloud computing is elastic, it is sold on demand, and the service is managed by the provider of the cloud. The easiest way to explain what cloud computing does is that it stores and gives access to different data and programs over the internet rather than just your computer’s hard drive. For it to be actually considered cloud computing it must include data or programs over the internet. Cloud computing can be done anytime, anywhere with an online connection.
The strengths of creating a cloud computing strategy for stuff4u.com can be a huge difference in profit margin down the road for the company. One of the strengths that cloud computing provides for companies is that it maximizes the effectiveness of shared resources within an organization. When using this approach stuff4u does not have to use all of its computing power and at the same time it will save money on its energy costs. Cloud computing allows multiple employees access to a single server to retrieve and update their data without purchasing licenses for different applications. This will also save money for stuff4you as a company, and will increase profit margin for the company as it cut s down on its expenses. A switch to SaaS software run system will also allow compatibility for a...

...fits and opportunities greatly outweigh the weaknesses and threats that cloud computing embodies. The ability to expand stuff4u’s brand name both domestically and internationally is an attractive option in the use of the cloud. This may have been possible without the use of the cloud, but the implementation of the cloud will make this a lot easier. The ability to share resources over one device and also save energy costs as well makes the implementation of cloud computing for stuff4u an easy decision. Cloud computing is the way of the future and companies risk losing customers and its potential for growth if they do not explore all available options to improve their company. I believe that after doing an S.W.O.T. analysis for cloud computing that stuff4u has the ability to benefit greatly by the creation and implementation of a cloud computing system.
As a business in a competitive market we must be able to determine what may assist us to accomplish our objectives? What obstacles we must overcome or minimise to achieve our desired results? To achieve this we must carry out a strategic plan, which is a straightforward model known as a SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats). This will help us to establish our overall strategic position, based on internal issues (strengths and weakness) and external issues (opportunities and threats).

As its core essences cloud computing is nothing but a specialized form of grid computing and distributing computing’s which various in terms of infrastructure , deployment, service and Geographic’s dispersion (Veeramachanenin, Sepetember 2015) the cloud enhance scalability, collaboration, availability , ability to adapt to fluctuation according to demand accelerate development work and provide optional for cost reduction and through efficient and optimized computing. (BH kawljeet, June 2015) cloud computing (CC) recently become as a new paradigm for the delivery and hosting of services our the internet. There are mainly three service delivery model Software as Service (SaaS) required software, operating system and network is provided or we can say in SaaS the customer can access the hosted software instead of installing it in local computer and the user can access these software through local computer internet browser (e.g web enabled E-mail ) the user only pay and the cloud service provider is responsible for management or control of mobile cloud infrastructure some of the company which provide such service are Google, Microsoft , Salesforce ,Facebook, etc…..Infrastructure as Service(IaaS)the cloud provider only provide some hardware resources such as network and virtualization is
Cloud computing has greatly influenced many aspects within the growing technology sector. This innovative approach has altered the way many businesses and individuals use technology. While there is no clear definition of cloud computing, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) defines cloud computing as “a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction” (Mell & Grance, 2011). It is composed of three service models: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), and four deployment models: Private cloud, Community Cloud, Public Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud (Mell & Grance, 2011).
Today, cloud services are widely used by people around the world in purpose of business, government, and personal use. With cloud services, users use resources - could be storage, computional capability, or software- from cloud service provider mediated by Internet. Doing computational work with cloud services involves a number of computers to do the large-scale works, therefore it usually called by distributed system over Internet (reference, paper?). Cloud service also offers a large-scale service where users only pay for what they use (on-demand). Therefore, companies migrate to business-to-business cloud as they don’t have to spend money building intial cost for their computational business. For instance, instead of building their own storage, network, cooling, they could just “rent” resource from cloud provider for the lower cost. Besides money benefits, cloud resources also able to be shared by multiple...
Today, computing is a paradox because computers are rapidly becoming powerful yet the cost of producing them is falling. As a result, computing is emerging as changing trend in the business society. In fact, it is obvious that the number of global users of cloud computing services such as social media, email, mobile application users, and gaming are rapidly increasing. Thus, the entrepreneurs are embracing cloud computing as a sufficient solution for improving business agility while reducing costs. This paper is a business impact analysis on cloud computing because it provides a detailed description, technology, future trends, examples of companies, regulatory is...

Cloud computing is a way to increase the capabilities of a device or add new capabilities or services without making any hardware changes to the device. An example is if you are traveling and along the way you stop and power on your laptop to check your email. Some of the key cloud computing services being offered today address data storage. Storing important information and files in the cloud can ensure that they are available for years to come and can be accessed globally wherever Internet connectivity is available. Through cloud computing a handheld device, such as a table computer, can access the Internet, check email, purchase concert tickets or monitor a webcam on another continent. Computation and software are also two other key areas of cloud computing.
This reflective essay will critically review my personal and professional skills that I am less confident in whilst in practise, which is essential for communication and developing effective relationships with others in an organization and even for personal development. The skills identified for improvement was highlighted in a skills audit for communication and effective relationships. A SWOT analysis was carried out to focus on the skills recognised, where finally an action plan was made to address how to improve the skills, what the challenges would be to develop them and how it is beneficial. The skills audit, SWOT analysis and the action plan are included as an appendices. It will also apply communication theories to
The inception of Cloud Computing could be traced back to 1950s when large scale mainframe computers were being utilised for only communication purposes with no processing capacities. Within a short span of time, the proliferation of technology has taken Cloud Computing into a new era where no one has ever thought or imagined before. It seems to be limitless, some even says addictive. It is like taking steroid to enhance your personnel well-being, corporate performance, productivity and growth depending on which perspective that you are coming from.
The SWOT analysis is a useful tool for identifying our personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to our plans and goals. According to a “Fuel My Motivation” article (2010), this analysis considers internal influences that can positively or negatively affect our ability to achieve our goals. The internal factors are our strengths and weaknesses. Also considered are opportunities and threats, which are external influences that can have a positive or negative impact on the ability to achieve our goals. I will share how the self-assessment instruments and self-exercises in this course have contributed to assessing and understanding my strengths and weaknesses. I will also discuss techniques I will use to leverage my strengths and understand my weaknesses. In addition, I will consider opportunities that I can take advantage of and the threats that can possibly impede my progress.
