Nutrition is the basis of the functional activities of all organs and body’s systems. Balanced diet provides the growth and development of the body. According to a new report, one in six households struggled to buy food last year. Buying food is the main part of family expenditure. It consists of breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner for family of four. Different units of food are listed. For example: fruits/vegetables, protein food, diary foods, breads, grains, etc. The prices were checked on the Peapod online grocery store. The result is stunning, because the grocery for one week costs $238.12. It appears to be a huge problem for the majority of families, who has thrifty or low-cost meal plans. The most tragic part is that children do not get enough nutrition. It is difficult to stay within the limited budget. If a family is experiencing some financial difficulties, and it has a thrifty food plan, it will receive only 61.9% of the needed nutrition.
