“Look out for the people who look out for you. Loyalty is everything.” In the book, Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes by Chris Crutcher, Ms. Lemry is loyal. Ms.Lemry is a teacher and a swim coach for a school. She is a teacher who stays loyal to her students. She is loyal because she cares for her students who are in her class. Ms. Lemry stands by Sarah at all times and is there for her. Sarah is a girl who got abused by her dad when she was younger. Sarah’s father when she was younger out her face on the stove. Sarah was always scared of her father and she still is because she is afraid of her dad coming back and killing her. Sarah was about to go on the train and Lemry was there to inform her to not get on the train. Her class is called CAT known Lemry tells about how is going in CAT class and Mautz is telling her to ask the teacher, Ms. Lemry. “Tell you what, Mr. Mautz. You tell me what you want and to know and why you want to know it, and if I can help you out, I will.” (Crutcher 189). Mautz was the principal of the Junior High School and he called them in when he heard about the Crispy Pork Rinds. Lemry telling how she will talk to students and volunteers to help them. Ms. Lemry has a lot of respect for her students and causes her to receive a great deal of respect from them. Ms. Lemry is the one Eric goes to when he feels like he needs help. Ms. Lemry is talking to Eric and tells him to go sit on the couch so she can talk to him about what’s going on. “ Sit tell me what is the matter.” (Crutcher 180). Eric thinks his heart is going to break and she said she will keep it to herself. Ms. Lemry is on an adventure of situations. Ms. Lemry is a supportive, kind, thoughtful and loving teacher and coach and will be there for her students when they need her. Ms. Lemry is there for her students and goes out of her way to meet their needs. Ms. Lemry is also loyal and is super nice. She has respect for her students and she gets respect back from them. Ms. Lemry is a great person and will be there when someone needs her. For example, at the end of the book she took Sarah Brynes in and adopted
