I believe that minimum wage should be increased. The positives are many and can help many different people. It even helps corporations out. There is an great improvement in attendance of work, and also morale of workers in areas where minimum wage had been raised. This helps influence the business's productivity as they will be reducing recruiting and training for employees. With an increased body of workers it would increase production and results. Another major argument would have to be how it benefits communities. This leads to low-wage workers spending more time at local business's. Making them rely less on social service agencies for assistance. Fact of the matter is that a decision brings both positive and negative outcomes. Some people might take the raise as a sign to be lazy and not learn new techniques however others will take in a positive encouragement way which I believe will out rule those that think in the pessimistic manner. There could be increased unemployment however this will motivate people to go looking for more jobs since the minimum wage is raised they will have something more to look forward to than to finding another job that pay too little. the possibilities of increased prices is understandable because of raised wages however with raised wages people will have money to accommodate themselves to these changes therefor it will be an acceptable balance and a shortage will be avoid and possibly a surplus will be achieved!
