Finding a workable pathway to a personal goal cannot be found through a web search, in a book or by conversation. Instead, it is found over a gradual period of time where reactions, interactions, motivation, dedication, effort and flexibility educate the individual and in turn he or she is better prone to reaching their goal.
Determining what you want to study immediately out of high school is not feasible without life experience and reality. For myself, I had no idea. My best work comes out with passionate material which is shown through business and culture, both I have rich experiences in. Aside from all experiences, I know how to build upon those. I went through two major experiences filtering out my strengths. One was a three acre self-managed produce farm. The second was living on an island in the North Pacific Ocean within the Native Alutiiq culture. My years of work have pinpointed strengths I can increase at a university.
Taking advantage of the agricultural assets formerly present, I rented land and planted three acres of vegetables. The crop required weekly attention. With my crew of hired hands, weed maintenance, irrigation, pest control and flower pruning took place. I had three employees. After I harvested the produce I drove it by flatbed truck to the public farm market and my roadside stand where it was sold. The farmers market showed me the pros and cons of the many options of physical in person advertising. I noticed older male customers were attracted to a layout where the produce was aligned perpendicularly to one another and younger female customers had less of a preference than the former. Thirty percent of the consumer attendance were males older than forty. A...

...arched data); Applicability, Dr. Bosco, chief operations officer in Eller College of Business, named me four organizations I need to contact. I have been offered a chance to apply myself on a preliminary phone call to the university; and availability of students in similar careers.
I have successfully self-employed myself, convinced buyers at the famers market to buy from me, observed the layout of the Kodiak logistics service operate, lived and watched a culture so diverse and obscure from the rest of the world work and succeed, though most importantly I see each situation is compatible to the ideas and reasons for the respective culture and no one is more right than the other.
I would like to study Operations Management at the University of Arizona beginning this summer semester. I look forward to my career continuing here. Thank you for your time.

It is exclusively an undergraduate two-year institution, and the undergraduate profile is higher part-time two-year (para. 1).
Everyone has their goals in life but college is one of those methods used to fulfill those goals. College was always on my agenda. Before I was even born, my parents had created a new pathway solely for me. This road took me on a journey filled with motivation, anxiety, and gratitude that ended up taking me to college.
By using the S.M.A.R.T. goal system, you are able to make your dreams a reality, one small step at a time. The first step in reaching a long-term goal is to understand the S.M.A.R.T. the goal process. Simply using the words specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound can be a bit confusing. After a bit of research, I was able to better define the method. Using a S.M.A.R.T. Goal worksheet provided by Tatt (2012).
An interest in business and agricultural studies has always taken some form throughout my life, whether it was running a farm in seventh grade, building a mentoring program during freshmen year or acting as the treasurer for National Honors Society. At first I was learning to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables and then determining how to sell them in order to achieve a net profit. Later I studied how to successfully construct a budget for a new mentoring class at our school and this year I have studied the complex theories of economics and management taking place on a worldwide scale. These experiences have built my passion for Applied Economics and Management at Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Sciences. This specific college has the classes and professors that demonstrate the same interests I am looking for in college. Although I have already gained a great amount of business knowledge, my studies have also taught me about the endless approaches and lenses in which you can view a business problem. Whether it be to delve into the mind of the consumer and understand what mak...
I have always had a strong belief that I could pass college like I did in high school. Always relying on those quick study sessions before a test or having the teacher going over the material right before a test. But boy was I wrong. In my first test I learned the hard way that studying is essential in college.
People need to think intelligently and set goals that are specific to their needs, making it possible to achieve their goals by making sure they are measurable and realistic and making it possible to build a support system around them; furthermore, they also need to set a deadline with time frames that can be met. Chanika Charles stated that “young people are at risk of being gobbled up by despair, overcome by conditions beyond their control” (A17). To avoid this, people need to start motivating themselves and getting excited about what they want to achieve, making sure their goals are relevant to their needs and being more perseverance when situations become difficult. When setting up their goals, they must ask that magic question: is this relevant to my lifestyle, furthermore, what will I do to achieve it?
Many students are struggling in college. According to the New York Times Web site, only 33 percent of the college students are graduating in six years. Obviously students still need much help to succeed in order to get where they want to go. Although college can be challenging, I am going to succeed by using advice from experts, by developing strategies and ideas, and by taking advantage of the benefits offered by my college.
Some life lessons are better to be learned at an early stage at life and for my situation it’s good that I did. I learned that one should never depend on others when it comes to doing your own work. You have to work hard to get what you want, you can’t just wait for others to do it for you. This is one of the toughest lessons I learned and it’s good that I learned it. Although, it was tough for me the way I learned it.
Intro Deciding what you want to study during your college career can be a difficult and tedious task. This is due to fact that many young adults coming out of high school are unsure of what they want to do or what path to take career wise. It is also tedious because this requires that these individuals have to constantly try and explore new avenues so that they can find their passion in life. The path I chose to take when coming out of high school was entering the business school at Howard University.
One of the best ways to follow a successful path is to set goals for yourself. They are important to keep yourself on task and to get to a desired point of self fulfillment. The issue can be how to achieve goals in a successful manner. The issue is "Although people may desire or intend to attain some outcome, they are not committed to that as a goal until they are willing to invest affect, cognition, and behavior in attaining it" (Traci Mann, 2013). This is why it is important to have a set path on how to accomplish important goals. I have chosen three goals that I want to accomplish to demonstrate a Process known as SMART, to help accomplish them. There goals are that I want to finally earn a college degree(personal), I want to make it into the honor society while earning my degree(academic), and I want to earn my degree in order to contribute to Autism research(professional). All of these goals range in the amount of time it will take to accomplish them. Some are long term, but I can still use the SMART goal process in order to achieve them. The SMART steps to follow are:

Growing up, my parents, they always told me keep my grades up, to never put important things aside. They said learn from them, they had my oldest sister at a young age and they were not able to graduate or go back to continue educating them self. They struggle for so long, from buying themselves clothes, to paying the mortgage. Always put school first, work on myself to have the life I want when I am older, my parents said. Saying that, I believe; all the money I am spending, sacrifices I am making, skills I am gaining, and being able to say I fulfilled my goal will be worth it in about seven years for me.
