Please accept this statement in support of my application for the role of Course Administrator at the University of Bath. I am a high achieving graduate with a 1:1 honours degree from Falmouth University.
Since graduating I have pursued roles which allow me to advance my skills in professional support and administration. I am looking to secure an Administration position at the University of Bath to further develop my skills and knowledge in a dynamic and busy office environment. My career goal is to secure a role within HE Administration which allows me to support institution progression and personally and professionally excel in a well-respected University environment.

I was asked to provide additional administrative support during the busy months leading up to the FIT cuts in 2015/16. The system was unmaintained, leading it to be ineffective, customer/staff and client information was spread across various electronic and hard copy filing platforms. I devised a number of possible solutions to streamline the filing and improve the effectiveness. After analysing the system and identifying key points of improvement I presented my findings to the team creating a system which would improve the efficiency of the entire team. I implemented the new filing system, collating all historical and current data in a format which translated smoothly between the electronic and hard copy systems. I was commended by the director on the smooth running and effectiveness of the new system and held a follow-up session with the technical and sales teams to gather feedback and identify any points for
