Many people enjoy the sport cheerleading, and would love to know how to do the perfect toe- touch. In cheerleading, jumps such as, a Toe- Touch, Herkie, pike, and hurdler are a major requirement. I remember the time I tried out for the cheer team, I was terrified. I didn't know how to do anything, but a split, and a cartwheel. There were many girls there who had experience, and there were some who didn't, just like me. As i watched all the girls prepare for the try outs, i asked someone to teach me how to do a toe- touch. I was so anxious to learn, because I really wanted to make the team. The girl taught me how to do a toe- touch in 5 easy steps. Now that i know how to do it, i can teach others. If you do not have flexibility skills this process may take longer than usual. Before you begin your jump, you should always stretch. Stretch your legs and arms in as many ways you would like. Stretching helps prevent any injuries that may occur during this process. After you have stretched well, you are ready to begin your jump. You will start off by, putting your hands together; as if you're clapping but with a tight grip. Your hands should look like they’re hugging each other, and your elbows should be touching one another. Next , On your tippy toes; raise your arms above your head. Your arms should be slightly in front of you so that you can see your hands without tilting your head up. During this step, your hands should still be together; as if you're in a touchdown position, only difference is your hands should still be connected. Immediately after, lower your arms down to your chin with your hand still clasped together. Then cross your arms right over left. Your body should form a uppercase letter “ T “ position. While doing the previous position, jump bringing your legs up as high as you can. In this position your body should look like a bent uppercase “ I “ . Your toes should be pointed, and arms should form the uppercase “ T “ position you’ve done in the previous step. Finally , when landing; Be sure to end with your legs together, and stand straight
