The first trait that displays a great connection to my strengths is enthusiasm. I believe that the trait of enthusiasm is when a person displays excitement and positivity toward their task. Scott Lilienfeld mentions that the most well-known public and political leaders have an enthusiasm trait. He also mentions that successful political leaders show this trait because they are the face of politics and without their positive and excitement towards their task, they wouldn’t not become great leaders that thousands of people follow (Lilienfeld, 2012). I believe this relates well to my strengths such as being futuristic and focusing because political leaders don’t only focus on the present, they focus on the future. In order to focus on the future, you must have these strengths that I have been given via the assessment. That is selling policies and developing a long term client base. I displayed my competitive nature my making it a point to make a minimum one hundred calls a day to sell as many policies as I could. Even though it is not the career path that I was looking and did not enjoy doing it, I have a natural competitive nature to be the

These traits have helped me to accomplish many career and educational goals as well as helped me to develop long lasting relationships that have sustained me up until the last year. It seems that hard work and determination are essential in accomplishing almost any goal that a leader sets their sights on. It is my hope that these characteristics will help me to persevere through the difficult times that life and school will thrust upon me. Thus I hope to use my strengths to help me steer the course of my educational and personal goals thus learning how to lead others and myself through turbulent times with grace and dignity. Consequently, my biggest weaknesses and hindrances in leading myself and others are my stubbornness and hesitation to recognize when I am wrong. Good leaders need to know when to admit they are wrong thus allowing them to reevaluate the situation and ask for help if needed. It seems that effective leaders know where their weaknesses lie and can ask for help when needed. This helps them to effectively achieve tasks leading towards long term goals because they know what they can and cannot do. I tend to be a control freak and want to do everything myself, and this is not an effective way to lead. I will need to learn to trust and rely on others to pull

In reflection of past job experience, I found it related to a low tolerance for incompetency and also being a natural leader, but did not demonstrate being a visionary or argumentative.
