Strength one- Fitness Component: Balance in Football In my chosen activity of Football, I believe that balance is one of my biggest strengths. Balance is defined as the ability to keep the body stable by maintaining the centre of mass over the base of support. In the Midfield position, there are many different types such as a: Playmaker, Box to Box, Winger and Creator. For my specific striker type (Creator) you have to make yourself available to receive the ball to attack the oppositions’ area and score goals or even take the ball up yourself and it is a necessity to have the ability to stay on your feet as you weave through and fend off defenders. Losing your balance throws off your whole attacking momentum, as it slows down the play and creates time for the …show more content…
To be an efficient passer you will need to be able to perform many different types of passes such as Shot Pass, Long Pass (AKA. Ping), Switches (Passing to the other side of the field) etc. It is widely said In Spanish football for example that “the ball moves faster than players “, this is why they put an emphasis on passing so much. The skill to pass the ball and spread the play could separate two teams’ potential chance of winning in a game. One recent example of passing was in a school game. We had just got the ball back from the opposite team in our half and the ball was passed to a defender and passed to me in the centre. From then on I looked up and saw my striker making a run and moved out wider to play a better pass for him. I moved out to the right and played a through ball to him into the oppositions’ half. He used his pace and got the ball to finish and give us a goal in a match that we ended up winning by one
When you first learn how to dribble the ball you are required to know the rules of dribbling the ball. In basketball you can only use one hand to dribble. You can’t run with the ball unless you are dribbling. When you become an expert at dribbling you will learn to do different types of moves. For example, some of the moves you can do are a crossover, behind the back, and between the legs.
pass and may eventually score a goal from it. On the other hand, if a
A course in the sociology of sport and physical activity should be part of an undergraduate curriculum in a kinesiology program because social issues that impact sports and athletes are often overlooked within kinesiology program despite playing an important role within sports. Kinesiology programs tend to focus on the impact of sport and importance of sport and physical activity and could use the insight that sociology of sport and physical activity can provide. The more we know about the social issues around sport and physical activity, and how to limit them, the more we can understand sport and how to improve it and the equality within it.
...good stats in pace, dribbling, passing, and shooting. The next 3 position are the attackers which include the 2 outside wingers, and the striker. The wingers are on the edges of the pitch looking to assist the striker. To assist the striker wingers need good pace, passing, dribbling, and shooting. Strikers are what win teams games, because they are the ones who are expected to score all the goals. This requires good stats in their shooting, heading, strength, and pace to score goals.
Football, just like any other sport, is mostly played for satisfaction and enjoyment out of the game. Football is known to be able to reduce stress, anxiety, and forms of depression. Football is also known for its hard conditioning, strength, and its strong mentality, which is great for your health. While football improves your strength and mentality, it also improves your concentration. Football is a game full of concentration. It forces you to get your mind set and to focus on what is going on during the game. Football also improves dedication and determination. NFL players are all known for their hard work. It is a requirement to play the game. You must know what your goal is and you must constantly push yourself to achieve the goal you have set for yourself. Likewise many sports, football teaches you teamwork. Teamwork is a number one necessity in football. You must know your role on the team and in order to accomplish that role, you must know how to work as a team and not just an
In high school, Coach Terrell would tell the play he wanted to be run to the point guard, and then the point guard would yell it out as he came down the floor for the rest of us to hear. Player to player communication was also huge because if you saw a guy cutting to the basket and your teammate on that side didn’t see it coming, you could yell to him and he could steal the pass. It is also important to know the physical cues, body language, of your teammates because; if you pass the ball before your guy is ready it can result in a turnover. A team that communicates effectively on and off the floor will be a successful
In soccer, there are no time outs and little stoppage of play, so communication with coaches is limited. For a team to play well, each player must know what they need to do on and off the field. The objective of a soccer team is very simple; score and do not let your opponents score. When your team has the ball, every player already knows to help the person who has the possession of the ball to score. As soon as the ball is lost to the opponent,
due to the nature of the game and the fact that there is continuous movement with lots of short bursts of more intense activity. Some positions require higher levels of anaerobic fitness than others, some. require more aerobic fitness. A midfield player is required to cover a lot of ground during a game and needs a good aerobic engine. A striker on the other hand requires short bursts of repeated activity and requires more speed and anaerobic fitness.
In order for me to reach my targets I am going to do 2 sessions a week
The physics and science that go into throwing a football are very complicated. You must take into account all of the factors around you, as well as figure out the best angle to send the ball where it needs to be. Throwing a deep ball is all about using the right angle with the right amount of force. I want to find out at which angle is the best to throw the ball the farthest. The angles I will test will be a low angle at 15˚, a medium angle at 45˚, and a high angle at 75˚. The force throwing the ball will be the same and the tight spiral will be assumed constant, so the only factor changing will be the angle at which the ball is being thrown. I suspect the medium angle (45˚) will send the ball the farthest.
The effects of practicing and improvement in a players performance is key to the game of basketball when a player practices for basketball they are improving because they are either getting a better basketball IQ or improving in the fundamentals like shooting and passing and dribbling a player can not get too good on these attributes so it encouraged that players always practice. Then again there is that player who never practices the fundamentals and never improves on his basketball IQ will not be able to be successful in part of basketball. When there is no practicing with a player he will not be able to discern what to do in practice or in games. The player will also have a struggle working with his teammates if he does not practice. Which leads me to my next topic on why practicing can change the way a player can learn how to play and cooperate with his teammates.

Passing and beating defenders down the line come effortlessly to me as if I don’t even have to think about every move I make and it just comes naturally. I remember a horrible day I had one time. I accidentally slept in one morning and had 10 minutes to get ready so I came to school looking like a complete mess. Later in the day I totally forgot I had a math test so I basically failed it. I got home from school already in a bad mood and my dad starts yelling at me for the dumbest reasons which puts me in an even worse mood. Thank goodness I had practice later that day because it honestly saved me. Right when I start to play I instantly forget the terrible day that I just went through. Everyone has that one outlet that makes them forget all of their personal distractions and once they find that escape, they will never want to leave. It seems as if I temporarily step foot into a completely different world where I know I
