A good leadership strategy considers all the factors necessary for achieving the goals and plans, and produce leadership which will implement strategies, adapt to change, support innovation, retain competitive advantage, and the most importantly it will focus on the main element of McDonald 's business – a customer (Wootton & Horne 2002). The particular leadership strategy should make clear how many leaders are needed, what personalities they should have, where the company can get them and with what skills they need to be presented (Fairholm 2009).
Fairholm (2009) also suggests that the leadership plan helps to define what company has, what company wants and needs and what is the expectation for the leader to meed the goals of the company. Furthermore it provides the time frame for completion of relevant strategic goals and activities linked with them. The presented leadership strategy is based on 5 year plan with its revision in 2 to 3 years.

In order to revitalize the organisation and promote the vision of superior fast food business it is necessary to implement creative and innovative leadership which will broaden the perspectives and develop an entrepreneurial mindset (Adair 2003). The business store managers of individual restaurant outlets will monitor the progress and the expectation is to have developed interdependent leadership culture in place within 4 to 5 years of implementing the new leadership
