The curtains draw open to the sound of the audience. Endless nights and countless hours have been contributed to ensure the success of a meticulously perfected performance. Soon, the spotlight shines among the leading cast, but the workers behind the scenes are left in the dark. Without the notable workers, ‘’The Stock Character Dating Game Show’’ cannot go on. Ideas in my brain began frantically flowing out in excitement, and the classroom was fluttering with discussion coming from every corner of the room. Minute after minute, I developed creative approaches towards not only my character, but towards other characters. Small, minuscule ideas became grand after I started tweaking and developing them. As a group, we had many ups and downs. Through many past experiences, working with people can be strenuous and draining, and this time was no different. With the deadline making its approach, time outside of our busy days had to be improvised to enhance and build on the script. Together, we promised to get online and work through the script together, but people would get on too late when the work was near done. At times, people would get distracted, leaving work unfinished. As a result, other members did more work than they were initially supposed to do. In addition, a member did not have internet, so it increased the difficulty to work as a team. When a member isn’t present, I am unable to guarantee that their work would get done. In general, no arguing transpired, but it felt like we were on pins and needles when new tasks had to be fulfilled. Besides the script, wardrobe and memorization had to be dwelled upon as they played just as an important role to immerge us into character. Despite numerous attempts to conquer wardrobe, it was unclear what we wanted to dress up as. This added up to my built-up stress, and it seemed like the deadline inched closer and
