There are many different stimulants that may cause many different effects. Stimulants are drugs that speed up the central nervous system. There are different forms of stimulants. This includes, caffeine, nicotine, meth, LSD, cocaine, crack, and amphetamines. Although stimulants may be necessary in certain medical cases, they are extremely addictive and may lead to serious consequences in the long run. Stimulants have multiple street names. Specifically, cocaine can be recognized as candy, snow, coke, and flake. Methamphetamine may be heard as meth, ice, crank, crystal, chalk, and glass. Acid could include: california sunshine, blotter, lucy, cid, dots, golden dragon, and superman. Meth can cause depression, delusions, and paranoia. Someone participating in acid may experience panic, terror, and depression. There are many ways to address different drugs, but that doesn’t change the long term effects they carry with them.
Long term effects of stimulants are serious and can affect your daily life in many ways. Some effects are extreme weight loss, gastrointestinal issues, muscle deterioration, chronic exhaustion, and heart disease. More issues could include lung disease, headaches, stroke, and seizure. Many stimulants and other drugs lead to death. It is vital that people consider the strain they are putting on their bodies before abusing stimulants.
Stimulants do not make your problems go away. They cause many short and long term issues that may affect you forever. Before participating in stimulants or any other drugs, ask yourself if it’s really worth it. It may not be too late if you’ve already abused drugs, get help.
