Poverty is a great issue in California that people seem to overlook because of this it is a serious problem. Instead of fixing poverty, the Los Angeles Police Department tries to contain the homeless population to fifty blocks of poverty, a neighborhood known as Skid Row. Los Angeles, California, the place many people call home; this is the place many people live out on the streets. Poverty may be in every state, but there is no poverty like Skid Row.

She was very descriptive of all the characters in the beginning of the book. Each character was described from Scout’s point of view. Throughout the book, Lee lets the reader see some of the characters in their natural environments. They are still written through Scout’s eyes, but instead of passing by them on the sidewalk, Scout is in their home sitting with them, or hearing personal stories about them. Three of these characters that Scout points out specifically are Jem Finch, Aunt Alexandra, and Tom Robinson.
Crossing the Border from anywhere into the United States is a really hard decision that a person has to make and that decision will have to be because of things that are going on in that persons life. The life in their home country can be a bad one it can be sad, tough to find work, working and not being able to make ends meat it is truly a big decision that one has to make when it comes down to deciding whether to cross and enter the United States and get a better life for themselves and their family or if they have any family. Crossing the border is a very serious thing to do and not to mention very dangerous and is against the law and they know it but risk it all anyways in order to provide for themselves and anyone else that they care about a better life that they could not do in their home country. So the most important idea about border crossing are it's effects on the individual because it is dangerous, it influences identity, it impacts the psychological well being and it harms the family.

Crank is about a innocent, 17 year old girl named Kristina, who is on her way to graduating early when she has to go spend one month in the summer with her estranged father. While visiting her father, she falls in love and tries meth for the first time. The book follows her experience being addicted to the “monster” and the consequences that come with it such as hurting her friends and loved ones. The book ends with the teen becoming pregnant due to a product of rape. Glass, the second book in the series, starts off with Kristina, also known by her "alter ego" Bree, has the baby. She names her baby Hunter Seth. Kristina being clean during her pregnancy, quickly relapses and her life slowly starts to crumble around her. Ellen Hopkins own experience dealing with her daughter’s meth addiction influenced her theme of a life spiraling out of control shown through character, style and imagery in Glass.
As a starting point I have chosen to use the “Experimental Learning Model” (ELM) (Kolb & Fry, 1975) both because of its simplicity and to limit my own tendency to over complicate things as a way of avoiding bringing myself onto the page, which is something often commented upon in previous feedback.
There are many different types of suspension systems that are used in cars today, and some that were discontinued due to their uselessness. One example of an older suspension system is called the swing axle suspension. This is a very old type, used in many sports cars in the 50’s, but had disappeared for about 2 decades. This was due to the weakness of the system. The handling was awful, as the camber angle can be noticeably changed by a simple bouncing motion, and the change of the static weight and body roll as the car took a corner.
