This study is important because it examines the view of many people including myself that already believed that video games foster aggression to individuals. Data however is more mixed. C. Anderson and K. Dill (2000) explore whether or not this view is indeed true, and if so, what the effects of video games are in avid gamers. The hypotheses that long time exposure to violent video games by game players, positively correlates with player aggression levels, seen in real life was verified in the short term. Second, GAAM shows that short-term exposure to video game violence, leads to increase in aggressive behavior by players. Third, GAAM also predicts that those players, who have higher scores on aggressive personality, are more likely to act out when provoked unlike those who got lower scores. It could be those who are more aggressive wholly due to the fact that highly aggressive individuals are particularly drawn to violent video. The present research demonstrated that in both violent and nonviolent video game play positive learning to increases in aggressive behavior. They believe that the present results confirm that parents, educators and society in general should be worried about the popularity of violent video games in modern society, especially given recent improvements in the realism of video game
