St. Mary’s catholic school holds a special place in my heart, and always will. The more time that I have spent attending here the more I have come to realize what a special place St. Mary’s is. Now as I prepare to go to College and leave St. Mary’s behind, I have come to truly appreciate my time here, and how blessed I was to have the ability to attend this school. To me St. Mary’s has become much more than just a school, to me St. Mary’s is much more like a family. Throughout my attendance here I have felt that all of my classmates and I have grown both spiritually and mentally. Although there were obstacles along the way, we have become closer than I could have ever imagined. Out of all things St. Mary’s has to offer this is personally one of the aspects that I find most unique. I honestly feel that if I ever needed …show more content…
Mary’s made me feel like I had a purpose. Every morning when I walked through the Gym for announcements, I am surrounded by people who I know care about me just as much as I care about them. The teachers aren’t there just because it’s their job, they’re there because they truly care about the school as well as us, the students, within it. Our teachers strive and work just as hard if not harder to ensure that we can succeed to our highest potential. St. Mary’s has also given me numerous opportunities to expand exponentially in my faith. From attending mass every week, learning the catechism and preparing for our sacraments, to prayer and worship. With each one of these experiences we have been encouraged to explore and strengthen our relationship with God. Attending St. Mary's has also taught me a lot about giving back, and helping the less fortunate and others in need. In addition, I have learned a great quantity about respect, humility, and sportsmanship. Being a student at St. Mary's has helped me become more active in doing service for others, and has taught me many values I will always take with me wherever I end up in
Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers and children, is one of the most popular yet mysterious saints of the Catholic Church. Though considered a saint. Saint Christopher is not in the official canon of the saints, and not much is really known about him. It is theorized that Saint Christopher was actually a martyr named Reprobus who was beheaded in the third century.
Wanting to attend Archbishop Mitty High School had never been a question of mine. I aim to go far in life and I am confident that AMHS is the school that will lead me down that path. By shadowing and attending the open house, I noticed that AMHS is like a second home to its members. The positive vibe radiating through its students offers me something to look forward to and another reason to wake up in the morning and go to school. Although I wasn’t a student, I was treated as if I belonged. I enjoyed how I didn’t have to be noteworthy to be accepted. Unlike typical high school movies, I could be myself without worrying about judgmental stares. I am certain many unforgettable memories will be made.
I have applied to Saint Ignatius College Prep because I think that it is the right school for me. Saint Ignatius is a place where I feel that I can be pushed to my limits to learn as much as I can as well as meet lots of new people. I love the esthetic of the school and how kind everyone is to each other. I believe that Saint Ignatius is the place for me because everyone is open to new ideas and others' opinions. Saint Ignatius is a place where I can excel in both learning and extra-curricular related activities. Over the summer, I took a classical mythology class at Saint Ignatius and I learned so much from Dr. Wood (the teacher). Throughout my time at Saint Ignatius over the summer, I learned so much about the school and discovered many more
St. Teresa was born in Avila, Spain on March 28, 1515. She was baptized as Teresa Sanchez de Cepeda y Ahumada. At a young age she would often give gifts to the poor and pray. Her father and her mother were both Catholics which inspired her to do the same. Her father was a very strict man a demanded her to never lie, while her mother told her to lie and comforted her. This created a ton of turmoil in the family and made St. Teresa end up loving her mother more due to her father’s severe strictness. St. Teresa felt that everything she was doing was wrong. During her teens her mother passed away leaving her to deal with her father by herself and she was relieved of some of the pain by turning to the Virgin Mary for comfort. In her late teen years
Mary Tudor or Queen Mary I of England was infamously known as Bloody Mary. While many believe Bloody Mary was an evil monster, others believe she was a great queen because of her many accomplishments. Mary was actually a good devoted Catholic others still to this day believe she was an evil woman, but with these interesting facts it will be determined that Mary was a good queen.
...wledge. My heart as filled with warm emotions while I was talking to the formal graduates of Scotlandville. We made a connection as soon as I said I was a student from Scotlandville. You could tell that their stomachs were filled with bubbles and a there pockets were filled with sunshine. . I could tell while speaking to my interviewees how much passion they had for the school alone.
Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots She became queen when she was only 6 days old. She was sent to France at age six to get married. She is the cousin of Queen Elizabeth I. Who is this elegant, yet struggling woman?
My affiliation with fraternity has taught me to love and respect our shared community. I also learned that my good actions matter to the lives and well being of the citizens of our community. I know my time and studies at Rutgers University will only grow my understanding of belonging to something greater then myself. I can say as a Man that gathered this when I read the Rutgers mission statement. Rutgers University is here to enrich those who attend and the community at large.
Earlier in the summer I had accepted a job at Our Lady of Justice high school in one of the small corners of the large city of London, Ontario. Now, I can’t quite figure out what I was on when I accepted the position, but looking back I realize that I was not quite right for the Catholic School Board. The one thing that I do remember thinking on my first day of school was that Our Lady of Justice was also not suited for the Catholic School Board either.
Though I struggle to put the amount of growth I’ve experienced into words, I have undoubtedly taken huge leaps in my faith upon being at MCC. My first semester here, I had wide eyes. I was frantically searching to grasp onto this vision I had of new friends, a degree, new ministries, discovering who I truly am, digging into deeper into a relationship with the Lord and ultimately embarking on what would become my future. I learned a few lessons the hard way, but I’m convinced we grow the most through the tougher times of life. I’ve grown to narrow my focus on Jesus, and to see my situation through a perspective of the one who is far greater and bigger than my situation. I no longer
The next few days at school, I started to really understand the schedule and got the hang of migrating between Lasalle and DePaul. I made new friends everyday, did not struggle with my locker once, had lunches that tasted, smelled, and looked amazing, and I am really glad I chose to come to Sacred Heart Cathedral. Everyone is really welcoming and nice. I have made great friends and I am really excited for the next four years at Sacred Heart

The most fulfilling or rewarding experience I have had as a college student here at USC has simply been having the opportunity to be surrounded by motivated students, professors, and advisors that have encouraged me to expand my horizons and better myself. Without the Honors College, I would have never met and bonded with my current roommates or any of my other college friends, who push me to try new things and work harder every day. The Honors classes I have been enrolled in have provided me with the opportunity to interact with students who are passionate about what they are studying. The professors I have taken are experts in their fields and have interesting stories and histories, such as one
Through these fun and challenging times each one of us has built strong relationships. Whether it was with friends or a teacher, we have developed connections and memories that will be with us forever, even if we lose contact with those individuals. Some students have discovered they have a passion for writing through a creative writing class or want to have a career in business from taking Mr. Ide’s inspirational marketing classes. Others have participated in CLIP or summer school to catch up and make it possible for them to be here today. I went to Heights Elementary and have spent the last 12 years with the same group of people. Attending school with the people I’ve known since elementary and middle school, and making homecoming posters with them for four years in a row, has given me a chance to get to know the people around me better than I ever thought I would.
Coming to Holy Cross was one of the best decisions my family and I have made. One reason I decided to come to Holy Cross was because my classmates picked on me through 6th grade and all 7th grade. Known for its family atmosphere, my parents and I knew Holy Cross was the right fit for me. Finding a school with a close student body was the most important factor when I was picking the right high school because of my experience in middle school. I definitely agree that Holy Cross’ student body and staff are both welcoming. My favorite part about coming to Holy Cross is that I enjoy coming to school every day to be with my new friends.
