They have access to all of these items without the peoples consent. The NSA is going through people's documents and they are giving them to other countries. The NSA and CIA should not be allowed to do these things to private documents.
The United States has the central intelligence agency to monitor phone call of almost every person. The United States has had so many phone call on record, they have made secretive deals with large phone company's like sprint, Verizon , AT&T and many more. "President George w. Their surveillance has only grown since then, even though most Americans disagree with it. An example of a policy passed was Domestic Surveillance, which is the act of the government spying on citizens. This is an important issue because many people believe that Domestic Surveillance is unconstitutional and an invasion of privacy, while others believe that the government should do whatever is possible in order to keep the citizens safe. One act of Domestic Surveillance, the tracking of our phone calls, is constitutional because it helps fight terrorism, warns us against potential threats, and gives US citizens a feeling of security.

This panic and hysteria has troubled the government by resulting to mistrust and concern against them by both groups. The panic effect of the NSA wiretapping has caused many people such as journalist to have their freedom of speech to be restricted in fear of the NSA to stamp them as terrorist and according to the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights that is an infringement of the people’s right of freedom of expression consists of the rights to freedom of speech, press, assembly and to petition the government for a redress of grievances, and the implied rights of association and belief.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, also known as the FBI, is a corporation that seeks fidelity, bravery and, integrity for the United States of America. The FBI researches shocking and concerning crimes the news reports about politics, war and, safety that we hear on the television about issues that are being reported to the people. These cases of transgression are missions the FBI analyzes, such as hacking information from double spies, locating terrorists, seeking pedophiles, cracking down unknown mobsters, gang leaders and serial killers, white-collar crime, public corruption, cyber-crime, counter intelligence and civil rights.

The National Security Agency (NSA) has been tracking U.S. citizens since 2005 ("EFF NSA Spying | Electronic Frontier Foundation"). It is no surprise the Russians were the focus of the United States Intelligence Community during the Cold War. Since the end of the Cold War the United States Intelligence community has drastically reduced its presence in the area. During the Cold War the United States devoted nearly 40 percent of its intelligence resources to include, personal and resources tasked with tracking the Soviet Union and its communist satellites (Miller, 2016). In the aftermath of the Cold War that number has been reduced significantly. Currently the United States only allocates roughly 10 percent of their budgets (Miller, 2016). This reduction of intelligence gathering of the Russians has led to an intelligence failure by the United States over the last decade.

The NSA has access to surveillance systems across the United States. People believe they are using them to spy on activities such as who you are calling, the places you are going, and what you do on the internet. This is not done to invade your privacy, but to protect and serve those in America. The government should be allowed to use surveillance to maintain order because cameras reduce crime rates, better our society, and furnish evidence and congregate indicators.
Privacy is a right granted to all American citizens in the Fourth Amendment which states “people have the right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and lives against unreasonable search and seizures”. Although our founding fathers could have never predicted the technological advancements we have achieved today, it would be logical to assume that a person's internet and phone data would be considered their effects. This would then make actions such as secretive government surveillance illegal because the surveillance is done so without probable cause and would be considered unreasonable search or seizure. Therefore, access to a citizen’s private information should only be provided using probable cause with the knowledge and consent of those who are being investigated.
