Breaking down America

Abraham Lincoln once said, “My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.” As a citizen of america I believe that we as a population don't get along the way that we should. We are all here, in the same country, so why would we ruin the country that we all love so much over irrelevant claims. People come here to America to find freedom and live the life that they love. We bring race, color, beliefs and roots into the image of a person before really getting to know them. That is what is ruining america, we need to give everyone the same chance we were given. If I were to be able to do that I feel like it would open up everyone's eyes to see what we are missing on equality. My speech would hit points on how we all have the same desire for a nice life, how we all want to work for ourselves and support our families. Sure we have different skin colors, but that doesn't mean that our hearts and minds are so different. In America we don't have enough of this, we don't have enough people stepping forward and making problems the center of attention for change. The only way anything will change is if we bring it to everyone's focal points. Our freedom gives us the ability to do this, to make changes. We all need to realize what being a citizen of the United States is all about. It is about acceptance, equality, freedom and love. Not discrimination, racism and war. People in America are the ones who make the country what it is. We can't just expect everything to be perfect. The population has to work together to make ends meet and come together. Equality is what everyone wants, so why not make it happen? Think of a world where we all got along and understood each other. That is the America that I strive for, a country full of happiness and acceptance. Each person brings new things to america that we didn't have before. We all need to embrace it, look around and really see how great everyone is. We need to stop forming our country into something that it's
