Recommended: Theoretical framework on bullying

“Stupid, Ugly, Fat, Worthless….. Etc.” This is just the beginning of bullying. In today’s society, we seem so quick to judge and put our two cents in when not needed. This has increased bullying over the years and trying to understand bullying and why it is progressing is what we’re doing now. In order to understand bullying fully one must know the types of bullying, who are the bullies, and how the bullying can be stopped.

There are various types of bullying occurring in today’s society. Bullying uses to be just a face to face problem but since electronics and technology have gotten popular over the years, bullies now have the power to use the internet and cell phones to bully victims. According to Gale Student resources “Many electronic mediums used in cyberbullying now allow users to hide their identities,” (Gale). Making bullying that much easier, bullying can be done in multiple ways, saying and doing multiple things. Bullying generally involves an imbalance of power to which the bullying uses the power to control or harm the victim who is unable to defend him or herself. “Bullying may include all of these situations, Verbal bullying, Social bullying, and Physical bullying.” In conclusion on types of bullying and what they mean we now know that there are various types of bullying.

It is equally important the types of bullying, as to finding out who the bullies are. In our minds we picture bullies as the comical huge, very strong guy or girl like we have seen in movies taking lunch money from little kids, But in reality it can be the quietest person you know. ...ives the bully power and then circumstances get sever. Sometimes with victims ending their own life. We all need to take awareness and action if we see it being done. Before we judge, call names, and harass someone for no reason, we then need to take a step back and make sure we’re perfect and ask ourselves what gives us the right to pick on someone for no reason?
