Space travel isn’t worth the money we have been spending. Kennedy wanted to do more space travel, but I don’t think space travel is necessary. In Kennedy’s speech he talked about how we have to seek the unknown and find out what we don’t know. Kennedy was talking about space, but what about the ocean? We really don’t know that much about it and I think we should learn more about the earth we live on. first of all, in an article called, “Why Exploring the Ocean is Mankind’s Next Giant Leap” by Philippe Cousteau it explains two going down to the deepest part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench, but this is largely forgotten today. In this article it also explains how unbelievable it is that people are focusing on space travel but we don’t know

He inspires the audience by alluding to the founding of the United States as he expresses, “… this country of the United States was not built by those who waited and rested and wished to look behind them. This country was conquered by those who moved forward…” (John F. Kennedy). The founding fathers of America did not idly sit about waiting for opportunities to present themselves, they actively pursued the next advancement in their new culture. Additionally, the foundation of America is due to the desire for the next considerable accomplishment. People strove to accomplish prodigious feats not for the reason that they desired to struggle, yet for the reason that they aspired to become an improved nation which could inspire people across the world. Kennedy encompasses this idea as he states, “We chose to go to the moon in this decade and do other things. Not because they are easy, but because they are hard” (Kennedy). American citizens constantly motivate themselves to develop new ideas to become exceptional people. This is the sole idea behind the American dream and why this country is the focal point of various nations, and millions of people across the planet. However, there is an endless opportunity for improvement in this nation and space exploration was a necessary factor in maintaining morale in this dark
He condenses the 50,000 years of human history into 50 years, and condenses U.S. into 1. JFK reminds the audience of the progress the U.S. have made since the founding of the country, and reminds us of the rise to becoming a world power. Kennedy goes on to suggest an exploration of space, saying “Surely the opening vistas of space promise high costs and hardships, as well as high reward”. The condensation of history achieves 2 things. First, it give the listeners or readers a sense of how much the U.S. has actually achieved in it’s short time as a country. Second, it provides belief and hope to the audience, making them wonder what the U.S. can achieve in another “2 years”. Maybe the U.S. can send a man to the moon, and beat out the Soviets to the next frontier. Achieving space exploration though was impossible though, without the support of the country, and this speech, and this opening persuasion is vital to convincing the country into joining the space
“Into The Deep” by Spencer Kayden, a play inspired by Jules Verne writing, is about people’s experience with the sea on a ship then to a submarine. “What’s Down There?” by Mackenzie Carro explains about the exploration of the sea by humans. Humans and the deep sea have a complicated relationship because humans have not studied deep enough in the sea, so they don’t know much about it.
[Intro:] This is it ladies and gentlemen You've made it this far It's time to get fucking real No more playing around This is MoonMan Giving it to you
Don’t you just hate those long bus rides to sporting events or field trips? The regular bus is just too rough and noise. The seats are not comfortable at all because they sit straight up and you have no leg room. That's why we need to invest in a charter bus. A charter bus will provide comfort and style.
So we all know when your here that's when we really buckle down and start boating attention. Because we don't get that much time with you. Although, when we are singing and we do something wrong you always know what to say, and we always sass you and procrastinate fixing it but anyways I just want to say that we really do appreciate all you do for all the choirs. You are such an amazing listener and always there to talk to and one of the best advice givers. When someone is down I don't know how you do it but your always there to help put a smile on there face even if it just for a second. When we are having trouble with a part of a song it's usually always because we aren't breathing right or dropping our jaw. All summer long
In 1961, John F. Kennedy announced his submission to the “space race”. A mission he was determined to
Knowing the impermanence of the Earth, do humans have a moral obligation to find and
Is there such thing as life outside of Earth? The building blocks of life are carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. Those ingredients condense to form all living things, new stars and even new planets! So, who’s to say those ingredients didn’t form other life on other planets? Think about how vast outer space is. There are millions and millions of other planets, stars and galaxies! It’s not that far out there to think that there might be other life in space, in fact, some people even have stone hard evidence that supports the idea of “aliens”. I personally believe there is such thing as extraterrestrials, and I believe they have visited earth before. As a child, I remember my dad and I would sit around all afternoon watching alien documentaries or shows about people hunting aliens and searching for UFOs. When it comes to aliens people have so many questions; have aliens been to earth before? Are they currently living on earth? Are they controlling us? Does the government know? If so, are they hiding it from the public? There are so many questions you can ask but, in order to answer them, you have to
Review: The opportunity and endeavor of exploring the Earth’s oceans can reap great rewards for mankind and unravel many of the mysteries that the Earth has left to discover.
Pleas don 't take me to Schreiber, it 's so boring there! I tried everything I could to persuade my dad not to leave me and my younger brother Jay and my sister Nadia at my grandparents house while him and my mother went away on his business trip. “Theres nothing I can do, this is a big opportunity for me and the company” he said trying to comfort me. My dads company is very successful and we have a lot of money, but my family has never had the rich attitude. Me and my younger siblings were never spoiled, altho we had a few nice toys, we never got everything we wanted. I kinda like my parents for raising us this way, I always found those other rich girls to be snobs and I never really liked them. “I will be back in two weeks, Ill fly with you
Outer space is a very extreme environment. You would only survive about 15 seconds before you become unconscious because there is no oxygen. Once you become unconscious everything in the human body will boil and freeze due to the fact that there is not air pressure in outer space. . Nothing can survive without specialized equipment. Astronauts are able to move freely through space because of the space suit.
Outer Space is by far the hardest place for mankind to explore. Instead of having to only find out how to make our ships float better, we have to think about the lack of air and radiation from the sun. That is only a couple of issues that come up when you think of space travel. We have to think about all the technology we would have to improve to make more efficient parts. We also have to consider the health risks that come with being in a zero-g environment. Earth will not sustain us forever, eventually it will run out of metals and we will have to find another source. Why not start now before it’s too late?
The main argument against space travel is that the money used could be better put on other matters. This is, in fact, very untrue. Looking at NASA’s 2015 budget of $17.5 billion, it may seem like a lot, until you realize that the US military budget for 2014 was $581 billion (5). Furthermore, it was estimated that each dollar in NASA’s budget was equivalent to 8 – 10 dollars of economic benefit (6). If an organization can bring about economic value at 10 folds the original budget, it would be logical to continue funding it, if not increasing the funds.
