Recommended: How abortion should be banned

Should Abortion Be Legal

Throughout history women have been known to reproduce for the men they have married, but some of the women have come to the thought that they should murder the child because the mothers believe they are not worthy enough to handle the child. These murders, women are committing, are called abortions. Since women were capable to have abortions, they have not cared about the after affects or the risks, but since it is now legal, women do not care about the harm they are committing. The women believe that they should give up on the chance of being a mother by killing the infant instead of giving the child life and letting a mother who cannot bear a child take the child and give a happier life.

Abortion has been used to control fertility which is another word for pregnancy and has been practiced, by many women, legally in the United States until about the year of 1880. In the same year most states had banned abortion unless the unfortunate happens and the mother’s life is at risk. Variety of women were committing suicide, because of this the government and eugenics, which is the self direction of human evolution, only wanted white women who were born in the United States to reproduce for the men. Being illegal, women still performed and/or practiced abortions and to obtain better abortions in their opinion, it all depended on their status. Meaning if they were white, had money, and where her house was located at, she could leave the country to find a physician who was willing to perform the abortion for a high fee. As for the women living in poverty, they could not get a well known physician to perform the procedure and instead they put their life in the hands of non-skillful practitioners with an uncertai...

There are many other cases like these and each time is seems more likely that a woman’s right to choose could be overturned (“Reproductive Rights” 26). There are many different ranges of beliefs about the morality of abortion, whether or not one should have an abortion, and under what conditions the termination of pregnancy is acceptable. Many argue at what point in the process of pregnancy a human person comes into existence. People disagree about whether anything from an ovum to a fetus is a form of human life.
