Recommended: Mechanical engineering career aspirations

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The ensuring statement of purpose is meant to put forth my aspiration to pursue my career through Masters in Mechanical Engineering at your esteemed university, as well as description of my plans subsequent to my graduation. I have a great compulsion towards practical industrial work environment and therefore I wish to pursue graduation study.

Right from my schooling I have shown keen interest in mathematics and physics that enhanced quantitative and analytical skills in me. This strength enabled me to secure 84.8% in 10th class. I passed my senior secondary school with 85%. The competitive spirit within me acted as a catalyst in all my academic successes. I took up Mechanical Engineering in AVN COLLEGE affiliated to prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University

My first rapport with the mechanical field in my first semester was with the conventional lathes and the modern flexible manufacturing labs in the Institute aroused my curiosity to learn and delve deeper in to the subject. The varied mechanical engineering courses have implanted a lot of enthusiasm in me. Attending various mechanical workshops held in our college during Technical Festivals has helped me in understanding the practical aspects of Mechanical Engineering.The undergraduate study has given me a comprehensive exposure to a wide spectrum of courses, namely, Design Engineering, Kinematics of Machinery, Engineering Graphics, Finite Element Analysis, Thermodynamics, Mechanics of Solids, Robotics, Computer aided Design/Computer aided Manufacturing, etc. I strongly believe in “learning by doing”. I would consider it an honour if I could study at your esteemed university. I would be glad if given a research or a teaching assistantship because, in addition to easing the financial burden, it would go a long way in preparing me for a career in research and teaching. I look forward to a challenging career in research which may even be arduous and demanding at times, but I am confident that with my sincerity and dedication, I will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the ongoing research and live up to the high standards expected in your university. Your university is a confluence of people from varied culture, nationality, religion, race and ideology which would help me augment my purview and help me hone myself into an exceptional personality.
