Introduction
The advancement of technology is no doubt one of the greatest organized inspired activities of humankind today. The world that we see round us, and the method society purposes today had strongly affected by the advancement of the technology. The device that I would like to research on had effectively changed the way how human life. It records all the activities of an individual over the days – the activity tracker.
An activity tracker is computer-assisted monitoring and graphing of health-linked metrics such as distance walked or ride, calorie consumption, and in some cases heartbeat and quality of snooze. During the early development of the products, activity trackers were embedded computers, such as that provided in the United States by the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports as part of The President's Challenge; since the release of the first Fitbit activity tracker in year 2009, the term has initially denoted to electronic checking devices that are linked, in many cases via Bluetooth or wirelessly, to a computer or smartphone for long-period data recording and graphing, an example of wearable technologies.
Electronic activity trackers are upgraded versions of pedometers. In addition to counting steps or movements, they use accelerometers and altimeters to calculate distance, graph overall physical activity, measure calories expenditure, and in some cases also monitor and graph heart rate and quality of snooze. Some also include a silent alarm. The original Fitbit, released in 2009, was worn clipped at the waist; formats have now improved to include wristbands, necklaces, and smaller devices that can be wore wherever preferred. Apple and Nike together developed the Nike+iPod, a sensor-equipped sho...

From what little we've been told about the Lifelog camera function, it seems users would be able to pair it to a mobile phone and then set specific triggers for photo capture, like times of the days or activities. So say you want to record the moments of your daily exercises, this concept would handle that automatically and upload the shots to your personal page. It's the sort of the stuff quantified selfie-takers get all hot and bothered over - you know, those ardent life-bloggers. But just because Sony's showing off this Lifelog camera concept, that does not mean we'll ever see it become a commercial reality. Sony may just be testing the consumer choices or simply showing off its idea of the possible road in future.
All humans want to live long and happy lives, and one of the main things we must maintain to achieve these goals is our health. To stay healthy, we have to get plenty of sleep, exercise, and the correct nutrition. To help us reach these goals fitness smartwatches, such as the Fitbit and Apple Watch, have been invited to assist us in tracking our activity. While the Fitbit and Apple Watch are both smartwatches, they do have some differences.
What is this world coming to? When most of us think of tracking devices they think of primarily negative issues. But that has all changed now. A tracking device the size of a tic tack that can be surgically implanted to provide a tamper proof means of identification, enhanced e-business security, locating lost or missing individuals, monitoring heart rate, vital signs, tracking of the elderly, the location of valuable property, and monitoring the medical conditions of at risk patients, all at the convenience of a button or a phone call (www.allnet). It is called the GPM or as we know it the Global Positioning Microchip. Today I will discuss the ideals of the implanted microchip and some of the technical, social, economic, ethical and practical implications of its technology. Furthermore exploring some of the benefits and dangers of such a device. Invented entirely for animals man has expanded its uses to stolen cars tracking devices, criminal rehabilitations, and experimental animal observations. The chip has come a long way but where will it go from here.
Fitbit was founded in 2007 by James Park and Eric Friedman with the purpose of using wireless technology to improve a person’s fitness and health according to the About Us page in Fitbit.com. Fitbit would fall within the digital technology industry that focuses on improving health and wellness of individuals. I would also classify Fitbit as an Internet of Things (IoT) device because it is Internet-enabled and shares and captures data without human involvement. Fitbit’s competitive advantages include being the first to market with a wearable technology that is widely accepted by general consumers. Fitbit was able to increase their market share significantly due to their first-mover advantage. Another competitive advantage for Fitbit includes

We are a health conscious society. We track our steps, the distance we cover, the calories we burn and our sleep quality. Our activity tracking device, such as a fitbit, provides us with an opportunity to stay focused on our goals and encourages us to be more active. Fitbit has become a mainstream activity tracker used by more than 33 million people in the US alone. Fitbit does not offer a business appropriate style. All of the options appears to be athletic in appearance and not designed to go with a business suit.
In data collection, we observe the use of software and hardware, like in Nike’s fuelband, in-built accelerometers and GPS tracking via the phone app aided in detecting physical activity and no. of steps taken. For information processing, Nike combines contextual data (eg. perceived activity type) with motion-intensity into an accumulative Nike Fuelpoints© scoring system. In data visualization, users can see their progress of daily goals. Lastly, after our reflection under Action Taking, you can track your daily process, adjust your daily goals, and customize your daily target to suit your day’s activities.
Fitbit has various tracker devices including Fitbit One which I am going to talk about in my Assignment.
keep track of what we eat, our workout schedules, our meal plans, our daily lives recorded
When someone has a fitbit, their goal is to achieve ten thousand steps for the day. Most people tend to be more active when they are wearing the Fitbit because he or she wants to achieve the goal. I think that step, heart rate, and calorie counters are very advantageous because the product makes people set a goal and want to achieve it. They feel a sense of accomplishment even though it is something simple like reaching the desired heart rate or step count. Children who have a hard time with their physical health may like this option because it encourages them to succeed.

Is technology going to become the revolution and the epicenter of our planet? The clock is ticking, the work is piling up, and with only a few hours to go before sunrise you stop and realize that you have just absorbed almost nothing. Some would agree when I say that this situation encapsulates one of the common problems in this era. Although with the help of technological progress, not only has every aspect of life gotten faster but more efficient. However, these advancements are not to take for granted. Most people do not realize the complexity of the processes that occur when they use technologies like the Internet or computers. Nevertheless, are the devices that people use in their day-to-day lives essential? As generations come and go, they each possess a value that strikes apart from one another. In this generation it is crucial that technology is simply ubiquitous. You can find technology anywhere; at school, a store and even at your local hospital. Technology has provided us with many advancements in our health care, there are plenty of medical technology uses in our health care. Not long ago, people started wearing wristbands that recorded the number of steps they took, their heart rates and sleep cycles. But not only did these bands help the patients, they paved the way for a new generation of gadgets that have become tools to improve health care delivery and outcomes. As you can see technology provides us to many of our enhancements in our medical field. The benefits of technology on our health care is that it contributes to our new health innovations, offers us information technology, and better patient care.
