He was born on November 14, 1840, in Paris, France. Later, his family moved to Le Havre, Normandy, France because of his father’s business. Claude Monet did drawings of the nature of Normandy and time spent along the beaches and noticing the nature. As a child, his father had always wanted him to go into the family grocery business, but he was interested in becoming an artist. He was known by people for his charcoal caricatures, this way he made money by selling them by the age of 15. Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus was born in approximately 163 B.C.E to Tiberius Gracchus the Elder and Cornelia Africana. Gaius Gracchus, his younger brother, was born in 154 B.C.E. In the 2nd century B.C., the two brothers formed “The Gracchi”. The two, born plebeians, belonged to one of the most influential families in Rome, the Sempronia. Their father was the tribune of the plebs, the praetor, consul and censor. Fatherless from a young age, they were taught democratic views by tutors. As they grew older and gained influence, their goal became to restructure Rome in a way that benefited the underprivileged and unfortunate. At the time, their help was especially welcome as members of the Populare, a political group whose purpose was to serve the people, rather than the aristocracy (like the Optimates). The ideals of the Gracchi leaned towards what people today would call populism or socialism; in fact, they are almost reverently called “the founding fathers” (Fife 1) of the aforementioned political parties. The brothers were perhaps so interested in restoring the rights of the people because of the dichotomy of their plebeian births within a noble line.
Magdalena Solis, mostly known as “High Priestess of Blood”, was born in Monterrey, Mexico. She was born into a family so poor that her and her brother joined a cult with Santos and Cayetano Hernandez. Magdalena’s position was of a prostitute, while her brother was her hustler. Magdalena kept her sexual job for a very long time; it wasn’t till 1962 when her job would intensify. During late 1962 and mid-1963, Magdalena and the cult would advertise themselves as gods spreading rumors that they would bring good luck to the people who participated in the sex rituals. In these rituals, people would give money in hopes of receiving luck, but after several rituals people grew anxiously. Later, two people were tired of not receiving anything, and decided to leave. Those two people were given a punishment by Magdalena, which were lynched by the followers. After these two murders, Magdalena craved gruesome human sacrifices that would intensify with each kill.

Sadly, many examples of greatness go unrecognized. One of the hidden figures in African-American history is Alonzo F. Herndon. He was the founder of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company. She was exposed to how the poor was treated through her father’s job and the people he was affiliated with. Did you know that her father (John Huy Addams) built a successful mill business and he was an Illinois state senator? One of his closest friend was Abraham Lincoln. Even though she was privileged and came from wealth, she wanted to make a different for the less fortunate. Jane learned later own in life as an adult that her father also was a conductor on the Underground Railroad.
