Sodapop Patrick Curtis: Seventeen-year-old Sodapop backs up all of the personality he has with lots of heart. Like his brother older brother, Darry, he's movie-star handsome, and seeing to the fact that he's a Curtis, he's smart, which is was one thing that he never thought he was, forcing him to drop out of school. Along with his confusion of his smarts, he’s athletic, and hard working, although he never took sports as seriously as his youngest brother, Ponyboy and his oldest brother, Darry. Sodapop has a strong bond with his little and big brother, he never liked to fight with his siblings unlike the amount of fighting that they do, making everyones bond with Sodapop practically unbreakable. Pony’s feelings for Soda are entirely positive, no bad energy comes to mind when thinking of Sodapop. He idolizes and loves his older brother and sees how smart he truly is, even if he himself doesn’t realize it. Ponyboy has good grades and he likes to be on the track team and that keeps him in good health. In the end Ponyboy realizes that Darry cared about him as much as Sodapop. Darry is rough on Ponyboy because he want’s the best for him. Clearly Ponyboy does good in school and likes to do track and this keeps him in shape. All in all Ponyboy should stay with Darry because Darry tries too hard to keep Ponyboy in school so that he would have a better life. Poney does not want to be in a boys home, due to his parents death all three boys should be in a boys home. He mentions both in the book and the movie he has to be careful with getting into huge trouble because if the cops found him they would put him in a boys home since he has no parent. Characters are always changing, in speech, thoughts, actions, and looks, overall changing themselves in a variety of ways. In the story, Code Talker, by Joseph Bruchac, the protagonist, Kii Yazhi(Ned Begay) changes mentally and physically through the story in many different ways from the beginning to the end. His mindset and opinions on many important things in his life change majorly as he develops himself as a person. Ned’s mentality on his heritage develops in a positive manner through the different major events that occur in his life as he goes through his own unique adventure.
Andie (Molly Ringwald) The main character of the story is a rejection according to the students in her Chicago High School. After school ends Andie spends most of her time working at a record store, her older boss (Annie Potts) Is one of her best friends and Co-worker. Andie likes to hang out with Duckie who has a crush on her, Andie helps Duckie study because if he doesn't get good grade he won’t be able to pass the year. Blane first meets Andie at the record store, she works at after a few days Andie starts falling for him, but does not know if she would be socially accepted. “Pretty in Pink” was released in 1986.

Rock-A-Doodle was always a childhood favorite movie of mine. I enjoyed the animation and the catchy songs; I could connect with the characters and I cared about what was happening in the story. This 1992 kids’ movie written and directed by former Disney animator Don Bluth stars Chanticleer, a singing rooster who leaves the farm to look for work in the “big city” after the sun rises one morning although he didn’t crow; and Edmund, a boy turned into a kitten, desperate to bring Chanticleer back home and “save the farm”. The main character of this book is Ponyboy. Ponyboy was a Greaser he was different from all the others he liked books and movies. Nobody in the Greasers digged books and movies the way Ponyboy did. Ponyboy was fourteen years old and he had two brothers that he lived with his older brother Darrel who they call Darry and his second older brother Sodapop who was sixteen going on seventeen. Ponyboy only live with his brothers because they mother and father was killed in a car accident. Ponyboy wanted to be like a movie star Paul Newman he wished he looked like him. Ponyboy always thought his brother Darry never cared about him or anything else. Ponyboy had a friend Jonny. Johnny was a Greaser too but he was the softest one but after he got jumped that changed he always carried a switchblade on him.
The theme that S.E Hinton talks about family always sticks together. Family always cares and helps each other no matter what happens. This theme is display in the beginning of the novel in the way Ponyboy , Sodapop ,and Darry are always there for each other. The Enemy by Charlie Higson takes place after a viral disease has turned all grownups into mindless, child eating creatures, leaving the kids of London struggling to survive. One of the main characters, Small Sam, has settled with his friends in the Waitrose Supermarket. Unfortunately, Small Sam is captured by a group of grownups, but later manages to escape. One of the most striking parts of the novel Sugar, by Bernice L. McFadden is her choice of names, especially that of the main character, Sugar. McFadden chooses a name that was unconventional for the time period and remains unconventional today. Not only is there significance in the name Sugar, but the names Pearl and Mercy also have deeper meanings intentionally chosen by the author to further expand upon their roles as characters within the setting of the novel.
