Social Media is a valuable tool for intra and inter-communication for organization. It is efficient in networking. The use of social media has passed the primary goal with was nonprofessional; then, more recreational. Nowadays, it is broadly used for multiple purposes. If it is an evidence that social media is necessary in today communication, in other side the risk associated with its use for some professions is big. Therefore, its usage has advantages and disadvantages. In the healthcare fields, the use of social media must be informative and inter-personnel; not to communicate on sensitive data such as patients’ medical records, treatment, performed medical procedures not opened to the public. For instance, LinkedIn would be used for professional purposes; Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus for social and other general communication purposes while Instagram will only serve for posting images. Then, we can communicate between us and the patients. In my current profession, I use social media to connect with friends and family. For now, there is no professional information shared between us via a social networking. Consequently, the fluidity of information between us is poor. Nevertheless, it is proved that social network is unsafe for sensitive information. Using social media for education and information purpose is beneficial.
