III. Problem Statement.
Some organizations encourage staff to use social media, while others prohibit use to departments. Organizations should educate their employees and the public on their privacy practices for responsible use, and monitor sites they sponsor so information posted doesn’t violate restrictions and other laws.
Many organizations use social media to encourage philanthropy by publicizing their services, display credentials, promote patient advocacy, describe the tangible and intangible community benefits they provide, and encourage benefactors to invest in their mission.
