Social lives start and finish with leisure activity. Leisure activity starts social lives because it generates the time that can be spent to engage in recreational time or leisure time. Furthermore, an individual’s activity does not have to be a group activity it can be a solo activity because when the individual is not with friends or families the activity that their doing will be because of a certain socio-cultural factor. Therefore, an individual will workout because of the gender identity and the double bind of masculinity. The reason for this is because most men will workout to change their appearance to become more masculine and powerful but are not suppose to care about their appearance. The types of leisure activity that is seen on the time map are working out and hanging out with friends. Furthermore, the only time for recreation was on a Saturday after sleep. Additionally, as seen on the time map leisure time in a week is limited only to about 9 hours. Most of the time in the week is attributed to sleep, school and work. This fact demonstrates that school, sleep and work are important activities that need large amounts of time. The most relevant sociocultural factor is gender identity. The reason for this is because the most frequent activity is working out. This socio-cultural factor relates to working out because men are not suppose to care how their bodies look. However, having a healthy body and good looks are considered to be seen as powerful and as a result masculine. The body is not solely a physical thing or flesh but it has the ability to implement various tasks.
