The Industrial Revolution sparked a movement in which society became industrious and urbanized. The way humanity worked and functioned socially was altered forever. Technological innovations allowed people to work faster and more efficiently, therefore increasing product, revenue, and profit.The Industrial Revolution was an improvement for people both socially and technologically and is the reason for industrialized success today. The Industrial Revolution greatly impacted the people greatly socially. With the increase of jobs and need for more production of goods, specialization increased. According to Adam Smith, the division of labor allowed people to focus and perfect one specific task. They then worked faster, and by means of production, products were produced more quickly.This lead to increased productivity. In the Industrial Revolution, there were also many changes occurring as a result of the fluctuation in economy. According to David Ricardo, as the population increased, the wages of jobs decreased. This therefore lead to less children being had, so there was a decrease in population. Then that lead to an increase in wage and an increase in population once more. When people felt economically stable they had more children, and this caused the social fluctuation in population. The new working class created by industrial capitalism was the proletariat class.
