“Sleep is the best meditation,” (Dalai Lama). Sleep plays an important role in good health and well-being throughout your life. It helps your brain work properly and a sufficient amount of sleep can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety.
Sleep helps your body work to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health. Sleep also helps support children and teens with growth and development. It can affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others.

I am not a big coffee drinker; I go to Starbucks once every week or once every other week. I notice once I drink it, I do not feel the need to take a nap anymore and I would sleep fine later on that day. I also noticed if I do not drink coffee at least once a week, I would nap the day I did not get it but normally would. I think coffee and naps help me the most.
My support person was my mother. My mother knows I sleep late and wonders how I function. She does not like when I nap because she says I cannot fall asleep later but I already had trouble falling asleep at night to begin with. My mother would tell me to go to sleep midnight the latest but during the weekends, she would not say anything. She also would not let me sleep in too late during the weekends.
My mother would always tell me to go to sleep early prior to this assignment but I did not always listen, especially if I was in the middle of doing an assignment or studying.
