According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention {CDC}, (2015), skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States, affecting 67,753 people in 2012 and with approximately one million Americans emerging with skin cancer annually and thirteen percent mortality rate. With merely twelve percent of the American population exhibiting proficient literacy competencies, the healthcare teaching materials for the population at large demand to be simply comprehended on the first read ( U.
