Many nursing experts believe that evaluation is the most crucial part of employee development. Debate the pros and cons of this statement and decide whether the statement is true. If it is not true, then what constitutes the most important part of employee development?

Marks and Spenser alternative for the substantive growth can take the following strategies, horizontal integration, related diversification, vertical integration and unrelated diversification.
In this section I will define the following corporate strategies. Horizontal integration occurs when a business expands its control over other similar or closely related businesses. Vertical integration occurs when a business expands its control over other business that are part of its overall manufacturing process. Related diversification is a process that takes place when a business expands its activities into product lines that are similar to those it currently offers. Acquired skills are call human capital, because investment in physical capital is similar to investment in personal development. Individuals obtain human capital through investing time and money in training, education and experience. As a consequence, productive capacity can be improved (Abercrombie et al. 2000). Lipsey and Chrystal (2015) point out that obtaining human capitals is expensive, and the more skilled the job is ,the more the employers must pay. Burchill (2014) shows that there is a circumstance that when there are few people investing in skills and knowledge in a specific job, higher wages can be achieved because there are few people is in competition for relevant jobs.
Health care is an ever-evolving field. Being a healthcare organization in the modern day means that one must keep up with the changes and strive to keep a competitive advantage at all times. In order to stay at the forefront of healthcare, an organization must rely heavily on its human capital. “Having human resources with the right skills at the right time does not happen by accident (Fried & Fottler, 2015).” Properly training and developing employees is very significant in ensuring an organization has a strong foundation. Training and development affect every role and has the power to make a company if done well, or break it if done poorly.
In this report, I will reflect on my professional development throughout this module, from when I started in September, to now. According to Beausaert et al. (2011), ‘the art of self-evaluation is an integral element of reflection and involves critical insight into understanding one 's strengths and limitations’. Therefore, my aim is to identify my learning needs and to recognise my personal skills and capabilities, as well as identifying areas of my skill set that need to be refreshed or extended to stand out in the competitive job market. By doing this, I hope to demonstrate knowledge of the skills that I have gained during this module.
...g the necessary skills, the knowledge and the training to produce graduates who are capable of entering the labor force as an asset to the organization and the country as a whole.
The difference between the skills needed on the job and those possessed by applicants, sometimes called the skills-gap, is of real concern to human resource managers and business owners looking to hire competent employees. While employers would prefer to hire people who are trained and ready to go to work, they are usually willing to provide the specialized, job-specific training necessary for those lacking such skills. Most discussions concerning today’s workforce eventually turn to employability skills. Finding workers who have employability or job readiness skills that help them fit into and remain in the work environment is a real problem. Employers need reliable, responsible workers who can solve problems and who have the social skills and attitudes to work together with other workers. Creativity, once a trait avoided by employers who used a cookie cutter system, is now prized among employers who are trying to create the empowered, high performance workforce needed for competitiveness in today’s marketplace. Employees with these skills are in demand and are considered valuable human capital assets to companies. Employability skills are those basic skills necessary for getting, keeping, and doing well on a job. These are the skills, attitudes and actions that enable workers to get along with their fellow workers and supervisors and to make sound, critical decisions. Unlike occupational or technical skills, employability skills are generic in nature rather than job specific and cut across all industry types, business sizes, and job levels from the entry-level worker to the senior-most position. Job readiness skills are clustered into three skill sets: basic academic skills, higher order thinking skills, personal qualities Employability skills are those basic skills necessary for getting, keeping, and doing well on a job. Employability skills are teachable skills.
Strategic renewal is another desired outcome of corporate entrepreneurship. The new economic order and business environment has created a pace of change which requires businesses to adapt more frequently and rapidly than ever before. The changes could involve corporate structure, mergers and acquisitions, addressing new market opportunities, changing product portfolios, repositioning, adapting infrastructure, or adopting new technology. Managers in an organization must be able to take stock of its situation under changing market conditions and agree on a coherent new strategy that will meet the challenges of the present as well as of the future.
Continuing education and staff development are key components in ensuring that nurses stay abreast with best practices and current trends in nursing. In nursing, staff development is required for scientific development, social change and advancement in medical science. Staff development specialists play an important role within the hospital organization by providing instruction to hospital personal, including doctors and other ancillary staff. They also develop and teach curriculum and theory and provide continuing education programs for all of the hospital's nurses. When new products are introduced to the origination, they educate all healthcare professionals within that organization (Dorin Michelle, 2010). For these reason, I chose staff development specialist as my preferred nurse educator role.
