Situational depression is common among teenagers, very few are diagnose with clinical depression. Situational depression is exactly how it sounds, the person is unhappy with there surroundings which can sometimes lead to depression. Then there is clinical depression where the chemical, neurotransmitter, in the brain is imbalanced and if not treated correctly could lead to suicide and away to avoid that is to talk to a psychiatrist and get some medicine. Some school have there students read the famous poem, The Iliad by Homer. The Iliad is most commonly sorted into a war and mythology genre. It can be taken as a way to deal with grief. Paris could never show his face in front of Menelaus in fear of the big and great Menelaus. If Paris ever tried to face Menelaus again, Paris would be saved someway, somehow. “Paris quailed as he saw Menelaus come forward and shrank in fear of his life under cover of his men. As one who starts back affrighted, trembling and pale, when he comes suddenly upon a serpent in some mountain glade, even so did Paris plunge into the throng of Trojan warriors, terror-stricken at the sight of the son of Atreus.”(56) A war breaks out with the Achaean and Trojans. The Achaean try to help Menelaus and try to cheer him up as they watch him fight endlessly for his happiness back, Helen. Menelaus knows that the Achaean can never help him, this battle was just between Menelaus and Paris. When in depression only the person going through depression can over come it, no one else can help with a good result. When someone is battling with depression they tend to loose who they really are. The person battling with depression can and will become someone else and who they where before can never be recovered. This then changes Menelaus into Achilles.
