6.1 When conducting a situational analysis, which of the four factors discussed is most critical: the occasion, the organizational culture, the environment, or the time allotted?
The occasion is the most critical.
The occasion is the purpose and context of the presentation.
Purpose: Audience expectations about the presentation’s goals.
A speaker who doesn’t consider audience expectations about the purpose is likely to fail. It will not only fail to achieve the goal, but even cause a reaction. If the purpose is not clear, it is best not to give a presentation, let alone to consider other factors.
Context: Involves what happens before and after your presentation.
After considering the purpose, the second is to think about the context.
Perhaps, also wondering if it actually will be informative for an individual can be something very intimidating. Kevin chose to talk about the World cup, something that has never brought much entertainment to me. The way that Kevin was talking, with so much passion shown to his audience caught my attention, not to mention the humor he used along with it. Presenting a speech to the class is as if one was having an ongoing conversation with strangers and letting them know why the topic brings so much interest to you. Not to mention, one must seem into it to not lose the audience interest, which is what Kevin did. Kevin used hand gestures letting the audience or perhaps myself know that he was actually meaning what he was
Unit 5 deals with emotions and motivations, emotions are the intangible characteristics of our personality that identify all stages of our behavior. From happiness to sadness, from anger to fear and many more we express our feelings according to any situation we are in at a given time.

I never made presentation in front of “foreigners” in English before, so I was very nervous, however, the feedbacks from professor and other student were very important. I used the form, short story, but after the presentation, professor told me that I cannot use short story as form and some students suggested me to use an advertisement to convey my message. My project’s target was also kind of ambiguous. I did not specify the audience, actually I did not come up the audience of my project, but when I finished the presentation I realize who my audience is. In the end I used news report as my form and made university students as my
My biggest improvement in this English 111 class was my writing. Writing tasks that were assigned greatly strengthened my overall performance throughout the course, preparing me for the future classes. The environment made me feel at ease, helping me evolve as a student, and as a person. The environment made me feel at ease, preparing me for future classes. Another large achievement of mine that I displayed in the class, was my ability to talk comfortably with the other students. The variety of group activities we did allowed me to openly speak my opinion, leading to a better overall performance with my work and papers. The English 111 class enabled me to have better participation in and out of class and allowed
System tracts are areas of the lithosphere which have multiple interacting depositional systems. These system tracts are the arrangement of layers in a depositional sequence. The structure of a depositional sequence begins with a sequence boundary, followed by a lowstand systems tract, then a transgressive systems tract, a highstand systems tract, and a falling-stage systems tract, before finally reaching another sequence boundary. These strata were deposited at different points of transgressions and regressions, during eustatic sea level change or relative sea level change.
Criteria #2: Extracurricular involvement, as demonstrated by leadership and distinguished participation in an active student organization. Describe how you meet this criterion.
Connect with The Audience/ Give the Audience Reason to Listen: Without her we might not have any of these technologies (software type).
The situational approach makes a lot of sense to managers. It is easy to cite numerous factors that can have an influence on the success of manager’s efforts to lead the type of organization, the nature of the group task, the pressure of time, the set of policies that define the limits of the manager’s discretion the personal relationship between managers and their subordinates, the influence of managers with their superiors, the level of skill and motivation of employees, and the managers personal attributes..
Respect Your Audience Many presenters spend so much time focusing on what the audience is going to think of them, they neglect to realize they will have feelings for their audience as well. And these feelings will come across. It’s important to remember that you may not always agree with audience members and may very much want to change how they think about your topic. But you should always be mindful to respect your audience.
3.)Situation:With respect to an educational setting, the situation focuses on the leader, the follower and actual routine being examined.
All speeches should have certain aspects that make it great. Body language, fluidity of words, eye contact, tone of voice, memorization, rhythm, and the overall flow makes a speech what it is. Slouching, forgetfulness, a robotic voice, and being boring will make a speech a disaster. I believe if the speaker doesn’t involve the audience in some way, then the speech is automatically worse than what it could be. It needs passion. It needs emotion. It needs movement.
In order to understand both, the aspects and complexities regarding Situational Theory of Publics, one must first understand the theory in itself. Situational Theory considers a public as a, “section of the community having a particular interest or connection” (Oxford, 2016). This theory locates and identifies publics by a given genre, the genre being that particular interest or connection. Each public is a group or audience of people with the potential to recognize an organization and its current situation or goal(s). Additionally, Situational Theory helps to identify trends within various publics which allow for strategic communications practitioners to make predictions more accurately.
According to Webfinance (2015), situation audit is the process of identifying and evaluating existing internal and external elements that may impact an organization 's ability to achieve its objectives. It helps the company to identify what is good and need to improve also what is lack in the company that needs to change. Walters & Dana (2007) argues that "situation analysis is an objective look at the business environment and its marketing capability" (pp. 36). It involves a SWOT and environmental analysis, competitive analysis and marketing audit.
This communicates a message to the audience and enlightens them of the current issues, it creates awareness about the priorities which they must hold and sends them a didactic message.
