Victim According to Miller (2013), The victim in this case was 17-year old Krystal Beslanowitch. When Wasatch County Sheriff Todd Bonner found her body she was naked and lying face down bleeding from her head and her shoulders on the river bank. Beslanowitch had been beaten to death with the rocks on the edge of the river near where her body was found. It was also later revealed that Simpson had sex with Beslanowitch before she was murdered (Augenstein, 2016).
Trial/Outcome

Instead they were only told of the current murder and were only asked if he killed Beslanowitch working from the evidence provided not knowing he was a convicted murderer. The jury determined he was guilty of Beslanowitch’s murder and then it was revealed that he had been convicted of murder before and the charge was raised to aggravated murder.
Sentencing/Aftermath
Simpson was found guilty and was sentenced to life in prison without parole (Augenstein, 2016). He was convicted of aggravated murder in September 2016, which was a first-degree felony (Augenstein, 2016). Simpson also faces a separate count of assault by a prisoner, from January 2014, resulting from when he got in a fight with another Wasatch County jail inmate over a TV remote in their cell block. This assault is a third- degree felony charge (Liesik, 2014).
