A kid named Jack lives in a very rural area, where they are poor and survive off of a cow's milk. This scene is from the story Jack and the Beanstalk. In this story, a young poor boy, named Jack, lives with his mom. He has a cow named Milky-White that has stopped producing milk one day, and he and his mother decides to sell it at the market. Jack goes and tries to sell Milky-White and he gets approached by a stranger. The stranger is willing to trade his five magical beans for Milky-White, and Jack agrees and he trades it. The stranger also says that if the beans do not work, he will give the cow back. When Jack comes home, he tells his mom that he sold Milky-White for five magical beans. This trait is shown in the story Jack and the Beanstalk when Jack goes up to the giant's house, and he steals a bag of gold running off with it. This shows that Jack is greedy because he is stealing someone else’s earned or collected item. Instead, he should go earn it by finding a job even if it is really tough. Later in the story, Jack goes up for another shot testing his luck, and he steals a golden hen from the giant. People might say one text of evidence is that he stole the gold in the beginning of the story. This seems to suggest that Jack is trying to help his family by stealing the gold and putting it to good use instead of letting it stay there catching dust. It is basically that Jack is now a criminal because he is stealing something the ogre earned or collected. It is also true that Jack stole the golden hen. Some may say Jack runs out of the gold, and he just wants to help his family again. In reality, he steals another thing when he should have put the gold into a job.
