Another prophet named Muhammad also gained followers through his visions of God in the East. This led to mass expansion, which the world had never seen before. This is seen also through the follower’s way of life which is heavily based on their religion. In Augustine’s sermon, he discusses the words ‘charity’ and ‘greed’ and uses them in context to an individual’s lifestyle. For many live in greed which he refers to as “a desire to sin” while he refers to charity as “the love of living virtuously”. He continues and says that love is what makes people either evil because of greed or charitable because of the love of good. This goes back to ideologies of good and evil expressed in the scriptures of both religions. However, he goes further and describes the love of God is; for loving God is what humans should do, however, many are blinded by tangible objects like money over God. In Al-kindi’s “On first Philosophy” he emphasizes the importance of knowledge but in the context of God. He also refers to those who oppose knowledge saying “For one who trades in something sells it, and he who sells something does not have it. Thus, one who trades in religion does not have religion, and it is right that one who resists the acquisition of knowledge of the real nature of things and calls it unbelief be devised of religion.” Following thus religion is a way of life which both Al-kindi and Augustine explain in their texts. Both Islam and Christianity have similar philosophical ideas such as the consequence of not following God. They both were important figures in the philosophical side of their religions.

One of the reasons why Islam spread so quickly was because of the trading that was happening about the time islam first began. Both Christianity and Islam mirror Judaism. From Judaism, Christianity and Islam derived the doctrines of monotheism, prophecy, resurrection, and a belief in the existence of heaven and hell. Both Islam and Christianity have a holy book. Christians consider the Bible the inspired word of God, however Muslims believe that the Koran is the literal word of God. Mohammed was merely transcribing the words of Allah, much as a court reporter does. Muslims therefore attribute greater spiritual
Religion is one of the oldest and most sacred things in history. It was passed down for generations both orally and in writing. Religion started off as a very simple belief in an afterlife. Over time it became more complex and began to include deities and rituals. The Much common ground is shared in attempt to provide approaches to finding answers to some of the deepest questions of life. I will discuss these significant similarities focusing on human dignity, identity, difference, and guardianship. “Islam is similar to Christianity in respect to human dignity and identity in that both acknowledge creation and that God is the creator of heaven and earth”. The aspect of both subscribes to the role of prophets who were venerated in both Islam and Christianity. Due to this fact, they both are traced to the times of Abraham (Ipgrave and Marshall 14-77). Aimed at promoting and achieving a holistic understanding of religion, as the flexibility to accommodate diverse backgrounds of its adherents that is always prone to abuse. Christianity and Islam’s
Christianity and Islam are two religions that grew from the same central idea of one divine being; they also originate from Jerusalem. However, the two religions bear great disparity but they also hold a few similarities. Both Islam and Christianity believe in Abraham as the forefather of both religions; they believe Him to be the founder of the two religions. The two religions have a holy book; Islam uses the Quran while Christians use the bible. Even though the two books do not bear the same teachings they are considered sacred in both religions. However, Christianity and Islam share a great deal of differences starting from the holy books, their beliefs, and the information contained in the respective holy book (Kavanaugh, 5).

First of all, Christianity and Islam are both monotheistic religions; worshipping only one God. While both believe in the same God, he is called by two completely different names. He is referred to as "Allah" by Muslims and "God" by Christians. The basic creed of Islam is brief: “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah”.
Islam and Christianity have a vast amount of similarities as well as differences. Islam searches for guidance from the Qur’an and Christianity depends on faith in Jesus. Islamic faith believes in the God, Allah. Above anything else, all religious Muslims obey Allah and his commandments to obtain peace. On other hand, Christianity puts faith in Jesus who is the son of God. A major concept that separates both of the religions is the fact that the God of each faith has different qualities. This means Islam and Christianity don’t worship the same God. Islam and Christianity are two separate belief systems in which two separate Gods exist.
