The whole island is in the shape of a giant square with white sandy beaches full of people sunbathing, swimming and fishing right on the shoreline. From the end of the hot pavement parking lot to shore of the beach is an ocean of soft white sand. The pearlescent white sand seems to know how to invade every nook and cranny almost as if it enjoys it. Walking around the beach on the fluffy whiteness surrounding the parking lot, the seagulls are fighting over scraps of food on the ground. “Sandy beach ecosystems provide invaluable services to humankind. Their functions have been exploited through history, with significant anthropogenic effects (Lucrezi, 2015)”. This white sandy beach is a beautiful refuge from the mundane grind of everyday life. The smell of the misty ocean air mixed with the sound of seagulls hovering above and kids playing is a tonic for the mind. The feel of the sand between their toes and the waves crashing over them as people swim in the water, or the jerk of a fishing pole when someone is catching a fish makes Fred Howard Park one of the best places to relax. Standing on the beach looking out on the water, people are kayaking and windsurfing. The lifeguards watching vigilantly in their bright red shirt and shorts, blowing their whistles when they see someone being unsafe. After a long day of swimming and laying around visitors head back over the soft white sand to the showers, in order to rinse off the menacing sand that clings to everything like a bad habit. Everyone rushes over the hot pavement burning their feet to reach their cars so they can put away their beach paraphernalia which is still covered in the white sand, nearly impossible to completely leave behind, so when they get home it serves as a reminder of where they were that
I have been to Florida a billion times, but there are only two places that I normally visit. Sanibel Island and Destin. Traveling to Sanibel Island is almost like a tradition for my family because every year we try to go down there. My grandparents first went to Sanibel with my whole family (cousins and all) about 15 years ago and ever since then, it has been our family’s main “vacation spot”. I have gone to Sanibel almost every year, but last year I also went to Destin. Now the main reason we decided to go there as well is because we wanted to travel somewhere nearby the panhandle of Florida. The water and beaches are also very contrasting in comparison to Sanibel. Sanibel’s beaches even had heaps of sea shells going out into the water. The sand is also more dense than that of Destin. Even Sanibel’s water is darker and more cloudy, so it was crazy to see Destin’s water so clear! The beach (which is called Emerald Cove, where I stayed at) had sand that was so white and soft it
Miami is full sunny days year round, which means that the beaches are always accessible. I decided to take a stroll down to the beach. The feeling of the sand caressing my toes and the water engulfing my body is like no other. A small fish decided to tickle my toes and then nonchalantly swam away. As the sand rose I noticed how clear the water was. Miami truly does have beautiful beaches that are blossoming with life. The sand was a beautiful tan while the water was crystal clear. The green and brown algae surrounding the area was swaying with the waves. They rendered helpless to the wave’s push and

The trees are big, leaves flowing in the wind, soft sand on your feet and the best of all the shining blue water of Maui,Hawaii full of underwater plants and mysterious creatures. Although, Hawaii can be scary deep down, deep in the wild that is unknown and undiscovered.
The California coastline is full of many beautiful beaches and breathtaking views. One of these places is the Santa Monica Pier, which is one of the oldest piers in California and has a rich history of change and resilience in spite of many challenges to its survival. If you arrive early in the morning before tourists swarm the amusement park side of the pier, the charm and nostalgia of the wooden pier transport you to a different kind of life, where nothing feels more important than the creak of the wooden planks beneath your feet, the fresh salty air, and the ocean that stretches out endlessly in front of you. Santa Monica
Gazing out from the balcony of the cruise ship that is anchored in deep waters I notice an island known as Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. In order to reach the island a tender came to transfer me from the cruise ship. Finally, fetching a tender making it closer to the island I observe the white sandy beach that has a few cabanas that resemble mini houses painted in tropical colors light blue, yellow, lime greens. There are also tons of beach chairs lined along the beach, as well as a gigantic pirate ship situated in the middle of the beach. A mini straw market is the first place I come upon after getting off the charter boat. The beach is like no other I have been to in Florida. It’s a tropical paradise that I never want to leave. Powdery white sand
This famed Pier is the home of Santa Monica’s icon, the huge Ferris wheel. This is a long pier that has an old-fashioned amusement park, with cheap ride pricing, rides like a small roller coaster that is famous with kids. Santa Monica Pier also has restaurants, shops that are perfect for souvenir shopping, bars and you can also find some street performers that will surely give you a good vibes.
warning sign that warned people to not smoke around the area. Instead of going towards the water treatment facility, I moved along the sidewalk to a park sign. The park sign had the name Neary Lagoon in large bright colors. In addition, there were another dog sign above the Neary Lagoon sign that explained the dog policy on the Lagoon premises. After reading the signpost, I turned around to look at the street to see what was happening; there were bicyclists, joggers, dog walkers, and automobiles going back and forth. It was very lively with so many different noises being heard: dogs barking, cars roaring, people talking, music, and nature chirping. I did not want to walk alone in the lagoon so I continued my walk following California.
Millions of visitors encounter warm sandy beaches every year. Locations such as these attract people from all walks of life. Vacationers come prepared to entertain themselves whether it be laying on the beach or walking on the pier. Many other activities are provided by vendors for beachgoers to enjoy. The chaotic beach image is drastically crowded with people, but they are relaxing, creating a great family atmosphere.
Just imagine that you are sitting on the beach, smelling the salt air, and feeling the cool breeze. The sun is slowly melting into the ocean and the sky is the shade of bright purple that can only be seen at dusk. It has been a long, hot day in the s un, and it feels nice to finally let it end. This is what living in Treasure Island, Florida is all about.
Fortunately, I wake every morning to the most beautiful sun lit house. I sit on my porch sipping coffee, while I drink in an atmosphere that steals my breath away. Rolling hills lay before me that undulate until they crash into golden purple mountains. Oh how they are covered in spectacular fauna, ever blooming foliage, and trees that are heavy with pungent fruit. Green it is always so green here at my house. Here where the air lays heavy and cool on my skin as does the striking rays of the sun upon my cheeks. I know in my soul why I choose to be here every day. Pocketed in all the nooks and crannies of these valleys and hills are stately homes, rich with architecture resplendent. Diversity is the palate here; ...
The beach is the place to go whenever someone feels down, wants to relax, or just to go to have fun. Usually it is always peaceful and quiet and when I go there I like to go and have a good time with my friends. When I was young I used to enjoy going to the beach just to play with the sand and build beautiful sand castles or even just to go for a dip in the water. But as I grew older I realized that I needed a place to go for most of my time during the summer after all the stress from school and mostly just to have a good time and relax. So there was no better place for me to be able to do that than the beach. The beach would be a perfect place to go to enjoy and relax because of its calm surrounding areas, the beautiful nature it has, and
Everyone has a place where they go to escape the pressures and the worries of their hectic lives. There’s always that one place that you can go to, to clear your head and soothe your problems away when you are stressed. For me that place is the beach, it is my ultimate cure for stress. When I’m there, all my worries and obligations are suddenly lifted and I feel calm and free. Thoughts of living at a beach house, for most of us, bring about images of clear blue skies and beautiful tropical blue beaches as we dream up fantasies of ultimate relaxation and well-being.
It stood out from all the rest in the peaceful neighborhood where my grandparent’s house was. The glittering white paint that seemed to never fade, the garden where rose bushes, lilies, elephant ears, trumpet plants and hibiscus filled the earth around you with welcoming colors and the sense of warmth and love. Every awaking moment of my childhood was spent there. My grandparents house was a place of comfort and security, and yet also one of sorrow.
