What parent doesn’t want the best for their child (Rhetorical Tool)? For most, the answer to this question is none. Most parents would do anything that was necessary to keep their children happy and healthy. There are numerous items in today’s society that parents are buying to better the lives of their children, but one simple and extremely important way to protect the well being of one’s child is through the use of vaccinations. The issue of mandatory vaccines has become a more prevalent issue in our local society. According to the US National Library of Medicine, some people will refuse to get vaccines due to race, religion, other health problems, or other beliefs on this topic (Hendrix et al.). Although there should be some exceptions allowed for certain circumstances, vaccines are what keep the community safe and healthy for future generations (Repetition). Vaccines are one of the most important protectors a parent can use for their children because they protect the community from future health problems (Repetition); therefore, vaccines should be made mandatory. People are skeptical about all the cases that have reported that children have regressed shortly after receiving a vaccine. These strangely timed regressions have led many non-supporters to believe that vaccines cause children to develop disabilities. If I were a parent, I too would want the best for my child and would be concerned about these regressions, but one needs to look at both sides of the story and understand the medical findings.
