I think service man should be able to keep their dogs. They should be able to because they are the ones who trained them to be like this. In the Call Of Duty this dude named jose had a dog named Zenit. Another reason they should be able to keep there dogs is because the dogs would not probably work as good as he or she did with the before owner. They also spent there time and money on these dogs so they should be able to keep them as their own dog. Why the service men should be able to keep their dog is because, they was the one who got that dog in the beginning. The service men should also keep it because they spent their time and money on the dogs. They did not work with there dogs if they was not going to keep them as their own dogs. If they put there time out for these dogs they would not want to give this dog up and give it somebody else that they did not know.Another reason is because they would help them at their house just like Zenit did in the Call Of Duty to Jose. …show more content…
In Call Of Duty Jose got hurt really bad all he want by him was Zenit his dog so he knew that he would be there because it was the dog he trained and was around all the time.So if ur a service man and you trianed ur own dog u need to keep that dog by you and with you all the time no matter what happens. No matter what anybody says u always should keep your dog that u trained by you at all
Used for military reasons. He loves being treated like a pet, not a war dog.
The dogs of war by Michael Paterniti is an informative and heartwarming article about handler Marine Corporal Jose Armenta and his dog Zenit. And how handlers and dogs are trained without each other and how they are trained with each other. The way that Micheal Paterniti writes is excellent and well written but it is even better with the pictures, the pictures tie everything together.
After the 30th of November 1991, it is an offence to have specially controlled dogs unless it is being held as the result of seizure or destruction. However there is an exemption scheme which lets owners keep the controlled dogs as long as they inform police that the dog has been neutered or spayed and can be identified permanently and as long as there is an insurance plan in place, a fee has been paid and then a certificate of exemption will be issued. Many of the first attacks were from Rottweiler’s and then pit bulls and the Act was speedily passed, some say it being passed so fast has made the draft deprived.
Dogs have impacted the lives of 44% of American families and homes. People use dogs for much more than just a family friend. Dogs are used for special needs, assisting police, and hunting and tracking. Dogs should be appreciated and never taught to fight or be neglected. Dog fighting is unethical because man’s best friend shouldn’t have to fight for their lives.
Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.
...es to all of the other dogs in the world. In a country proud of our diversity and freedoms, we should be granting dogs the same lives. They deserve that diversity in what breeds they are mixed with and the freedom of a life outside of the bars in a shelter. Do your part and give a dog the life it deserves.
It can be a companion, an aide, or both. Pet dogs are loyal and make wonderful company, and an emotional support dog creates bountiful joy, but a service dog is much more. A service dog not only serves the same role as a pet, but creates a safer environment for its owner. Without the service dog it would be much harder for the owner to get around on a daily basis indecently. However service dogs and their owners are discriminated against because people are skeptical of the dog’s legitimacy, but instead the service dogs and their owners should be respected and treated as
As of 2012, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that one in 50 children between the ages of six and seventeen has autism spectrum disorder, with males being four times more likely than females to have these conditions (Slaughter 1). Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the brains normal development of social and communication skills. Service dogs are normally used to aid the blind, deaf or hard of hearing, and other types of disabilities. Service dogs have recently been used to help children with autism. The service dog industry has had a growing impact on the autism community, the benefits and disadvantages affect each child differently.
With all sides of the argument considered I believe that dogs should not be allowed in the workplace. Dogs are unsanitary and many people are afraid of them. They may cause distractions and ultimately do more harm than good. Furthermore, when the dogs were at work with their owners, they would likely have no place to be kept and if they did it would likely be unsanitary. When their owner went to the restroom, to get food, or talk to a coworker, the dogs would be tied up, left alone, or taken with, all options of which do not sound very appealing.
Dogs can help children cross the street, lead the blind, alert the deaf, and they do so much more. Many of times, an adult might focus on the problem that doesn’t need requirements. An adult might focus on the problem that a child is socially disabled and by focusing on this problem, they may not even see how this child is trying to cross a busy street or might be trying to talk to someone that they shouldn’t. A service dog prevents the child from going out of sight and many of times can lead a child out of danger or avoid it in the first place.
Dogs may be kept or tolerated for as social companions or pets, hunting, herding livestock, guarding and as a source of food. Trained dogs have continued to offer specialized tasks for instance in search-and-rescue services, assisting physically challenged people in their day to day life, detection of explosive devices such as bombs and detection of drugs through sniffing.
The ASPCA website was talking about this subject and some of the things taken out of this is, these conditions that the animals are spending their lives in aren't acceptable, the mils are unsanitary, they get barely and food and water, they stay outside with very little human interaction, none of that is good for a dog. A lot of the
Even though someone rescuing a dog may think they are doing something great they are causing an issue on how they will forever live their life. For example, dogs are expensive. When I rescued my dog, Skye, from the West Michigan Humane Society, she was a puppy. According to the American Kennel Club, being responsible for any pet is committing to them as much as you would if they were human (AKC).
“A dog is a man’s best friend” goes much deeper than the phrase might initially imply. Recently many medical journals have begun to identify with the many and varied benefits of pet ownership. Men have always relied upon animals for work, transportation, and survival. As times have changed, man has begun to appreciate a different bond with animals. Gone are the days of animals running free outside around the homestead, for now animals are allowed inside and are considered by many to be an integral part of our daily lives! Medical studies have found that animals have a much greater intelligence level than originally thought. Through proper training and experience, animals are not only household pets, but also are becoming an accepted form of medical treatment.
Dogs are wonderful creatures. They are loyal, dependable companions if given the opportunity. In recent years I have come to the opinion that we could learn something from these animals. We should also take a look at the manner in which they are being treated. Abandonment, irresponsible breeding, and neglect are only some of the ways that humans are failing the canine species.
