Well, Jose Altuve recently signed a $151 million extension contract with the Houston Astros for five years, and Stephen Curry signed a record deal with the Golden State Warriors worth $201 million for also five years. With this in mind, only two of the most compensated athletes are mentioned; in addition, is only a fraction of what professional sports team owners pay to their athletes in a lifetime. After a short time professional athletes were finally compensated for their hard work and dedication; however, in past decades they were not compensated at all. Professional athletes compensated over seventy-five percent more than the average citizen. With this in mind, Professional athletes work day and night to be able to be good enough to give amusement to their fans, and provide for their families. Professional athletes are well deserving of the pay they are compensated; moreover, many enjoy it. Sports fans are the most important to the compensation of professional athletes. With this in mind, if professional athletes were compensated well over what they deserve or more than what the average sports fan considers, thus they wouldn’t get compensated what they do today.
