Should people drink and drive? An issue that has been causing many accidents for many years and still going to this day is drinking and driving. This incident has taken many innocent lives or caused serious injuries that affects the victims in the future. The damage has to stop, some individuals feel that it is no issue with drinking and driving and those are the first ones to get to be guilty of it. Also for the people that is guilty for drinking and driving has either been incarcerated, passed away, or somewhere still driving. Another thing when you injured or killed a victim from drunk driving you’re not just effecting the that person, your also hurting the family, friends and anyone else that’s a close Loved one. That’s one reason why people shouldn’t drink and drive. Another reason why people shouldn’t drink and drive because of the legal penalties you will have to face during the time. For instance getting a DUI that is when your blood alcohol content is above the legal limit , it ranges from .08 to .10 . It is one of the worst things have on your permanent record especially if you have battery assault or charges of murder, it can really effect that person many different ways. “Berman (2004)” such as laws will hurt the responsible social drinker who is not impaired with a .08 BAC and does not solve the problem of drunk drivers who cause accidents. In most states for your first arrest could face license suspicion, fine fees, and community service. In my opinion with everything drink responsibly if you’re at a party or anywhere else that has alcohol beverages or if you know your drinking can get out of control, always have a friend beside with you, or do not drink at all. Drinking and driving might not seem such a serious issue for some individuals in the world. In my opinion every year, month or day an innocent live gets killed in a car crash by a drunk Driver. I’m showing the consequences that 90 percent of the time people who drink and drive will cause a very dangerous situation for that innocent life. For legal penalties such as DUI, license suspicion and fine fees is a really big deal to go on your permanent record and also could you to lose your insurance policy. The serve car accidents, you would put some many innocent lives at risk and even your own life at risk and not only will affect the victim but also the friends and family.
